the pics are all awesome and all but more than 50+ alphabets of just watermarking on the pics is really getting into the way of seeing the bike.
    sigpic

"World class Italian design, raw power, adrenaline and speed. India’s bikers can look forward to all this and much more as Mahindra 2 Wheelers’ Stallio and Mojo motorcycles made their debut at a high voltage launch in Mumbai on Sep 30 2010.

“In the last twelve months Mahindra 2 Wheelers has achieved a milestone by registering a sale of 1.5 lac units – a clear validation of the success of our niche PowerScooters strategy. We are now all geared up to redefine the biking experience in India with the Stallio and the Mojo which are a potent blend of global technology and innovation and will take the category to the next level,” said Mr. Anand Mahindra, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Mahindra Group.

“These world class bikes are worthy additions to the Mahindra 2 Wheelers product portfolio and are part of our commitment to establish a robust, end-to-end two wheeler business in every segment of the industry,” said Mr. Anoop Mathur, President Two Wheeler Sector and Member of the Group Executive Board, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.“Both bikes incorporate world class R&D and design elements from our Bologna, Italy based design house, Engines Engineering and are best suited for Indian biking conditions.

The Stallio was unveiled by actor, producer and director, Aamir Khan, whose thought provoking movies have served to both entertain and inspire an entire generation of young Indians.“Mahindra is a solid company with very strong and long standing goodwill. The bike that the Mahindra Group is launching, the Stallio, is a stylish bike offering consumers a great sense of comfort. It’s a complete bike that offers safety, style and peace of mind. I am sure it will soon be one of India’s iconic brands. I am very pleased to be associated with the Mahindras and the Stallio,” said Aamir.

The Mahindra Stallio is available in two variants – Self Start / Cast Alloy wheels / Digital Console and Kick Start / spoke wheels which are available at Rs.44,699/- and 41,199/- (ex showroom Pune), respectively, while the Mahindra Mojo is priced at Rs. 1.75 lac/- (ex showroom Pune). The Stallio will be available at 370 Mahindra 2 Wheelers dealerships across the country. The Stallio comes with a four year manufacturer’s warranty. The distribution model for Mojo will be different and therefore, would be available only in select outlets."
So, this means that the production model for MOJO won't really look like this one. i hope they change the fuel tank and perhaps the headlights too

well, i really liked this bike......i feel tht this bike is designed differently....which we might not found much good to look at coz we have much more good looking bikes like FZ r15.....

i won't say it as bad or ugly but definately it's not treat to the eyes (atleast in pics)...

but wut u c things on pc or TV,they seems a lot different ..... this bike would look beefy when seen in real....

it will catch eyes.....no doubts in my mind...plus the engine sound and exhaust note tht i heard in tht mahindra commercial is driving me nuts..it's totally sportsbike sound .....lovely......

about the price quote of 1.90(on road) is praise worthy....

guys they are providing parts directly frm ducati bikes plus pirelli tyres plus italy engineering .... and 26 bhp plus 24nm torgue i dont find tht bad at all.......

it's not tht much bad i guess....but yea design part is not wut we all expected....maybe some uplifted bike tank could help...i saw a pic. on Xbhp and bike looked totally different with tht another tank...

WOW, suddenly so many people liking the Bike.
This is almost a trend now here, which i don't like.

First we creat huge speculation around the expected launch, then we criticise it the hardest way and then after sometime, almost everyone starts liking it.

Probably it is the long wait that we have been subjected to something that we so dearly desire.

@ MG: great pics man. waiting for your first impression report.
Also if possible, lighten up the watermark a bit.

Great Pics however heavy watermarks are S@@@.

For 1.75l need to see how stable will she be on road and what are the performance figure and cruisable speed.

The front shocks and disc are awesome.

Some finishing issues and also the gear lever looks cheap.

Overall a decent offering from Mahindra.

I dont know if its MG's photo clicking abilities/magic or something but i think that i am falling in love with the bike. The kind of features mahindra has used like the key hole at a different place or the led at the disc or anything. The bike in overall a very good bike. I love backlighted switches. Seriously if i had the money i would have surely brought this home without any second thoughts.

Now the only complaints i have with mahindra on the bike are:-
                      1. Pricing
                      2. Headlight
                      3. & obviously the name.

BTW where is payeng, Our (xbhp's) new model.

i work for one of the Mahindra Companies too and the newsletter we got says that the price for the MOJO is 1.75L(ex-showroom). it also says that the tyres are tubeless pirellis.

"The Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system has been developed by Ducati Energia of Italy. In an industry first, the Mojo sports inverted front shock absorbers developed by Paioli of Italy, which ensures superior shock absorbing ability at high speeds. This is complemented by a horizontally mounted mono shox at the rear, allowing for much more comfortable ride. Radially mounted assembly also helps in accurate braking.
The Mojo is the first ever motorcycle in India to sport Pirelli tubeless radials. They are also the widest tyres in their class (4” x 17” at the rear), ensuring greater stability. These are complemented by edgy front petal disc brakes which
are the largest in the segment at 320 mm to ensure safe braking. There’s a disc brake at the rear as well."

That's not the case here, i hate it more. I would not point out what is a miss, but really IMO, except engine & front suspension, everything else sucks big time.

The design has this motard/street bend to it and let's face it, motards are not all that popular amongst us Indians, which is why most people had that initial gag reflex towards it, The more I looked at it though the more I started to like it actually, and the fact that its so large makes it all the more interesting to me considering I'm 6'2".

Despite the niggling problems we have with the bike's looks, I think we generally agree the bike does look sporty although I think the riding posture will be very neutral (unicorn-ish) yet at the same time it does have some first off goodies we've wanted for a while (USD forks and such).

What I'm struggling with is M&M's client demographic. Who are they targeting? Are India's sports enthusiasts up for a design that's such a radical departure from what we expect sports bikes to look like or do you think they have a winner here.

I ride a T-bird modded to ride more like a roadster than a cruiser and I have to say this thing appeals to me from that sense, yet, something like the mojo feels like a similar (type of) ride with much better specs of course. Now before you start, please realise I'm not comparing these two bikes, just who one would ride them and how.

This thing looks shamelessly comfortable to ride yet it has sporty pretensions, should be a pleasure to potter around town on but its too expensive for the regular commuter, so who exactly is this bike for?

I'm guessing here but I believe most ninja owners have a second bike. Would you have one of these as a sole runner...?
