the last para pretty much makes the chalenges of the hero gorup very clear.. unless and untill the hero group comes up with a good brand name, its products will be difficult to sell..

True, with their current lineup (of Splendor/Passion/CBZ Xtreme/Karizma) they can sustain for the next 3-4 years.. but post that, the need for some in house R&D would be felt.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostOT: Check thier balance sheet and it seems very likely! The fastest way to build that would be to buy out an R&D Design house.. la Mahindra Style.
The other way would be to poach Bajaj and TVS engineers are sky high packages.
I would say that the former approach would be better.. for even if you have the best manpower, setting up a robust process takes some time and also its own share of trail and error.
