The poll makes me wonder as why no one prefers Kwacker 600. What I see in K650 is...
1. Build quality
2. Strong support
3. Good power & again if less than GT650, it should be minimal not miles apart
But still why ppl don't prefer Kwacker 650? Is it not that good?Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle
Awareness + Skill is what keeps you out of harm's way
ATGATT + Awareness + Skill means you might Live To Ride another day

Same cc, more power but less Paisa.Originally posted by aargee View PostThe poll makes me wonder as why no one prefers Kwacker 600. What I see in K650 is...

We know how KN650 has a good engine, better looks (subjectively), ABS and much better brakes. But still, an almost 1 Lac difference in expected prices can't be ignored... Can it?
We might have a lot of "changes in mindsets" here, if the GT650R turns out to be more costly than KN650...
As we know, expected prices might as well change due to a lot of factors.Last edited by Samarth 619; 10-03-2010, 03:43 PM.---

The ABS itself makes it worth the extra 1 lac.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostWe know how KN650 has a good engine, better looks (subjectively), ABS and much better brakes. But still, an almost 1 Lac difference in expected prices can't be ignored... Can it?
I wouldn't have said this a year ago but...
after riding the Fireblade with ABS.
I would be more than willing to pay 1 lac more
for brakes that keep me and my 5 lac ish bike less prone to falling.
Visually, I do like the GT650R more tho.

More power is not in huge variations right? I'm not against GT650R 'cause I love all motorcycles from MojoOriginally posted by Samarth 619 View PostSame cc, more power but less Paisa.
to MvAgusta; all I'm trying to understand through a healthy debate is, Why?
Now, looking at the other side...
1. Power, as said before, a marginal increase, say about 15 bhp, will not give a huge difference on the road right?
2. Buying is a one time affair, but maintenance is life long. Getting a Kwacker serviced at PBK is piece of cake, while the unestablished, unknown Garware motors (hopefully) is still a question
3. So imagine for that "extra" power, which is a riding thrill compared to maintenance hassles. Is it worth?
4. The point on ABS; worth enough on Kwacker
No it can't, but, ABS & service backup cannot be ignored either. Imagine a horrible service experience with GT650R when a fellow friend of mine smiles with his Kwacker 650.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostWe know how KN650 has a good engine, better looks (subjectively), ABS and much better brakes. Yep; its sad, but then, ST7 sounds cool enough, but for the service by Garware. Who're they? Have they got good experience? I'm willing to wait & watch rather than jump into the band wagon.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

is that means bike is coming for sure ???
but still there is no official news from anywhere
i can see that @MG became suddenly very active in past few weeks ...especially news relating to new bike launches .. i wonder from where he is getting it .... may be .. 6th sense or may be from dreams while he is sleeping

Doesn't matter. What matters is that he has been right so far.The ST7 sure does look good.Originally posted by nagoo View PostO[MG] i wonder from where he is getting it .... may be .. 6th sense or may be from dreams while he is sleeping
The GT650R as well, but I would want them to bring in the GT650 (the naked version) too.

Garware are into Polyster's and Plastics. I guess it will take them some time before they actually launch the bike. Currently they have started all the ground work.Originally posted by aargee View PostWho're they? Have they got good experience? I'm willing to wait & watch rather than jump into the band wagon.
Yes it's true. Next week the official announcement should come about the merger.Originally posted by nagoo View PostO[MG] .... is it true ??

Does that make any difference whether its my 6th sense or its coming in my dreams. At the end of it the news should be genuineOriginally posted by nagoo View Posti can see that @MG became suddenly very active in past few weeks ...especially news relating to new bike launches .. i wonder from where he is getting it .... may be .. 6th sense or may be from dreams while he is sleeping

@bhasma - More number of variants equals more effort and with a new entrant(Garware) they would want to establish one product before coming with another one. This one is just my guess and not any news
