    • GT650R EFI has a compression ratio of 11.6: 1 so I guess xtra premium 91 octane won't help GT650R EFI — Hyosung Motorcycles Australia

How can one talk about mahindra quality?? Let them bring in the bikes first. On bajaj part : Agreed!!!

            • every one is worried about the low quality of hyosung products when compared to may be the kawa and the yamas. but low cost means low price ,right?that is what every one wanted-right?
when we see the hyosung photo we ask our selves-"kitne dega?"-right?.
superbikes are the biggest blunders on indian roads.

                • I'v seen a couple of Hyosung bikes and they look fair enough for our buying and riding conditions. We should wait for the actual launch of these vehicles before we comment on the percieved/ actual quality and fit & finish of these bikes. Of course they may not be at par with the Japs but im dead sure they would be far superior to any of our Indian manufacturers. A more appropriate question to ask would be "kitna bhagegi"

Are you talking about the scooters??

If yes then i guess they sold because of the long waiting periods of other major companies. A lot of people do not have the patience to wait.

                      • ok here's one of the decent reviews :

Introduced in Canada in 2007, the GT 650R treated itself to a facelift in 2009 on top of switching to electronic injection, making for a more convincing engine. With a new colour palette and promising specs on paper, the Korean machine now has to prove its mettle against some very well-established competition.

mainly coz of extra long waiting periods.

Add to that the cheaper price, better features, goodies etc.

In bangalore the price of rodeo is 50k while the honda activa is for something around 54k. Who would go for a small scooter with less features paying more money??

                              Precisely...

But still I dont buy the fact that just because they being a new entry in the sector Mahindra's quality is Bad...How many DURO/RODEO owners do you know cribbing with quality issues? Give them sometime(atleast let the bikes come to start with) rather than jumping into conclusions.

                              • Can we be please back to the topic...?

I think the after-sales woould a big deciding factor for people going for the Garware-backed bike/s. A 4-5 L sports bike which does not look bad(read: Cheap) at all would surely lure the R1/Firelade-bugged janta into considering very seriously about saving bucks...
I just hope Garware can assure people of its after sales services. And i hope they turn out good
