Well thats news
Since when did people start buying bikes by just looking at the amount of bhp it produces ??

Guys, lets speculate a 250-300cc Pulsar in a separate thread
. Lets stick to the CBR now. Lets not compare it to a bike price or specs wise to a bike that doesn't exist yet. Besides, Bajaj is no comparison to Honda. Honda recently took to the skies. Bajaj being a motorcycle company hasn't produced a quality motorcycle so far. It's proof in how soon problems ooze out from their bikes. Besides, Bajaj's motive is to 'SELL'. Honda has been largest manufacturer of motorcycles since 1959 so their motive to sell is probably secondary. Their primary concern is to 'SATISFY', and by 'Satisfying', the product automatically sells.

Since the time when people started NOT buying the XCD as it was slightly more in CC despite being a fantastic product as compared to the splendour.Originally posted by Duke_848 View PostWell thats news

Like it or not, CC's play a big role!

a 21bhp P22O... and a 31bhp P3OO... hmmmmmm... very nice.
not going to happen tho.
P300 with about 30PS is not very difficult, with LC and 4V it could be a scortcher!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Everybody is out there to SELL. It's just they way you look at it or the automobile manufacture put it.Originally posted by ironman View PostGuys, lets speculate a 250-300cc Pulsar in a separate thread

Somebody on this forum said - Bajaj's primary motive is to provide power to average Indian at very affordable price. I would say, by doing this, the product automatically sells.

u naughty boy.. what do u mean by "satisfying"
?
Anyways, getting back to topic Honda is not there to "satisfy" you or make u happy with there products. If that was the case u would be seeing CKD CBR 1000RR at 7L and CBR 250 at 1L on-road. Every company's motive is to earn profit. And to earn profit they need to sell there product. As you said honda has been manufacturing bike since 1959. Bajaj started WAY later and they have improved a LOT.
Bajaj brought power to the masses. If not for them u would not have seen these 250s entering the market. They set new standards with Pulsar series of bikes and showed the world we are not a bunch of commuters who like to pose on colorful 100cc bikes. Remember the days when Pulsar 180 came out? and the "pick-up" and the breathtaking looks?
With Ninja they showed there are takers for bikes costing above 3L and People are there who want performance bikes.
Now with KTM, bigger ninjas and bigger pulsars they are again gonna bring power to the masses with more attractive price tags.Street racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment
