i am aware about thisOriginally posted by bluevolt View PostOTR prices purely depends on how much road tax a particular state is going to rip off you. While a 1.5 ex-showroom will land up 1.80 OTR in Bangalore, Chandigarh OTR will be 1.55 lakhs.
.
what i wanted to say was the price should be such that when on road, it still should not cross 1.5L even in city like Bangalore!

correct... nice said!Originally posted by arnab.archies111 View Post+1
The lady who called me yesterday from Planet Honda was asking me when she shall expect me to book the bike.. I told her I am not booking it till it is launched and the company announces the ex-showroom prices...
Just imagine how much Honda is earning on interests by keeping 5k for 4 months.. Even if 100 guys put down the money, Honda has 5 Lakhs for 4 months from which it wont pay the poor investors any interests... Just a thought... And i heard people shelving out 30K...

I would rather wait for the company to at least divulge the EXACT "ex-showroom prices" before putting down my hard earned money..

Lets not give Honda the Wings of Dreams.. Anyway they have shelved our dreams by first announcing that the baby CBR would cost "much less than 1.5 Lakhs" and then calling up and saying its 1.5 Lakhs... Its not what I expected from Honda..

Yes, that's true. I am currently in Chandigarh and taxes are less here, I have also stayed & bought a bike HH CBZ 2002 in Bangalore when I was there for three years.Originally posted by bluevolt View PostOTR prices purely depends on how much road tax a particular state is going to rip off you. I have booked the CBR250R NON-ABS on 4th Jan and was told I am among the first ten from Chandigarh to book this bike
. The booking amount is refundable, I checked.
For guys in Bangalore or other cities where road & other taxes are a bit high don't lose heart
, If I were in your place I would have bought this bike even if I had to pay a bit more reasons being
01. This is just something what I & India has been waiting for a long time, a proper quater liter motorcycle and that too from a Japanese manufacturer at a great price.
02. The price of Rs. 1.5 lacs ex-showroom NON-ABS is good if compared to the US price MSRP $3,999 which comes to around 1.83 lacs and this is ex-showroom price for US I guess. Also, the Chandigarh dealer told me it would be around 1.40-1.43 lacs ex showroom for NON-ABS lets wait & see if it is true so many of us might save money
.
03. I would consider this as an excellent & reliable investment, knowing its Honda it will last you many years to come and the quality & performance will be great too.

Just got a call from the Honda dealer where i had booked my Cbr. He said the Honda guys wanted to know a few details:
H: What is ur age?
Me: 32
H: What is ur Marital status?
Me: Pissed off
, blasted the guy
When u cant tell neither the exact price nor the delivery date or show the vehicle, how can u expect me to answer your questions n in wat way are these helpful to u?????
H: Sorry sir, but the Honda people have asked us to collect the info!
Me: Then please ask them to call me up n i will answer them directly cos i find these questions ridiculous.

This is really weird! It's amazing that these guys want all this personal information even before they make sure that you are going to be a buyer. This might well be another way of gauging their target and potential customers' financial background and/or commitments so that they can modify their price accordingly. Really an underhand jab by Honda! And all this without revealing even the concrete OTR price or at least a display bike.Originally posted by Scorcher View PostJust got a call from the Honda dealer where i had booked my Cbr. There does not seem to be a coherent strategy in place. The whole marketing effort looks to be patchy and adhoc. If they really wanted to collect this information, they could have asked all those booking to fill in a form for the requisite information. By asking for this information after the person has booked, they are really pissing people off... now to wait for the s**t to hit the fanOnly a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.
