  • The US price for the cbr 250 is 3999$ and 4499$ for the non abs and abs respectively. This translates to roughly rs 1,99,950 for the non abs and 2,24,950 for the c-abs version( rough figure of 50rs per $). And given the recent speculation regarding pricing, i believe Honda is offering us a really good deal.

    Bring it on baby!

As Honda said before, they would be sourcing materials within the country to control the cost. So it is, if Honda wants to maintain its global pricing, Indians would rather add up extra bucks to settle for some 4 wheeler. Right now, they wanted to target the mass and not select crowd.

      • This is so exciting! Atleast two of my friends on the Ninja course have changed onto the CBR250R tracks! :P Kawasaki is going to take a hit from this. All those people who don't really mind the lower power, but like the Honda styling, C-ABS, reliability, awesome looks, handling, suspension on a much cheaper package will definitely cancel their Ninja ideas now

Its happening around me, its ought to be happening elsewhere
        D'oh!

            • Not many people are going for ABS, the red white blue combo would be a real sight on Indian roads....
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

Its still not confirmed if this colour combo (HRC) will be available in India. The dealers are expecting confirmation in Feb.

The price difference will be almost 35K, do you think it is worth paying 35K just for the ABS? It is not as if the non-abs Honda wont have brakes, it will still have far better brakes even in Non-abs version.

I too want the ABS one, but the 35K diff is just too much....... I wouldnt mind paying upto 20K for the Honda ABS.

                        • 35K is a little too much for ABS i think. but if red blue white combo is gonna be available for abs i may go for that. else black non abs

how much will be the on road price of abs and non abs?

Well, I certainly hope it would be available because thats the one I've booked too.

And am wondering how come "the mechanic" is so certain about it

Because they would have attended a training on how to work on these bikes. All manufacturers do these sessions for mechanics before they launch a bike.

                              • High environmental performance that meets Euro 3 emission standards and Thailand's sixth emission standards was realized by adopting an electronically controlled fuel injection system (PGM-FI*1) as well as an O2 sensor and taking advantage of the combined effect with a catalyzer fitted inside the exhaust pipe.
This could mean that it should accept an aftermarket air filter, which increases air flow to "some extent", maybe not up to the K&N level though.
Just hope that with higher air flow, it doesn't light up a system malfunction light on the dashboard, which usually happens with such Fi bikes & cars.
