i am sorry if my post started this speculation regarding price..

but tell me, if Honda's CEO has accepted the price range of 1.5.
lets consider 1.8 max to max for a C-ABS version on road.

now if all this is already mentioned, then why the hell do they have females with registers at their stalls at the auto show asking customers how much are they willing to pay ???

i asked for the estimated cost and i get to see a list of many people mentioning how much they are willing to pay...
now as a company, if i can sell my product at a reasonable cost, its well and good for the buyer, and will satisfy me too.

but, if the same buyer is willing to pay twice of that amount, why will i not try to achieve the max i can ??

i know honda will be keeping an eye on this thread, all i can say on behalf of every xbhp member is that, there's no point of asking people how much they are willing to pay, we are real bikers of India, we are wiling to pay NOT MORE THAN 1.5 LAC.

if other companies have asked for a 3 lac price tag for a 250, sadly ONLY 1000 units have been sold so far, if a cbr 250 can be surely priced at 1.5 or less, 1000 units will be sold within a month...

I had a bad dream a few days ago. I thought of sharing it with you.

Three of my acquaintances were planning to buy a performance bike. The Honda priced its CBR 250 R at 1.8 (OTR Bangalore). The wealthier one got happy and bought it at a premium of Rs. 20k(since the waiting was more than six months), so the final price came at Rs. 2 lakh. The top speed came out to be 143 kmph, rider only.

The less-than-wealthy friend decided to wait for some more time and was surprised to know of a new 159 cc R-16 priced at 1.1 lakh with a top speed of 142 kmph, rider only.

The least capable person still decided to wait for some more time and finally picked a 4-valve P220 priced at Rs. 95k with a top speed of 143 kmph, rider only.

All three were happy. But, none of them had the 'Buzz' of the superbikes, as is also the case with Ninja owners. I thanked myself that it was a dream only.

whoa?????? 1.8 lacs?? but a few posts back, there was a video where a Honda official himself said it would be below 1.5 lacs in India

This reminds of One Lakh Rupee car. The Tata Nano when launched it was 1 lakh only but wait it was ex-factory (it is not ex-showrooooom!!)

Just some stupid ramblings:

CBR250: Rs. 1.5 Lakhs
Transport costs + VAT / Octroi = .3 lakhs

Total = 1.8 lakhs

If Tata Nano can be said as 'ek lakh ki car', Honda CBR250 can be said as 'dedh lakh ki bike'.

It cant go all the way upto 3 lakhs, but it's sure will be priced at around 1.8 to 1.9 lakh on road... Yup the thing about nano is totally right it was supposed to be a 1 lakh car and tata kept it's promise. It's almost the same with honda but I don't think it's gonna go upto 3 lakhs, If it does go upto 3 lakhs then might as well get the ninja.

i hope the honda will give a nice roar (sound) unlike ninja 250.
