How do you define exclusivity? Price? Then, my friend, you are swimming against the tide of greater opinion on xbhp, which has been clamouring for a 250 cc at an affordable price. And now the CBR 250R seems to be a bike which meets that criteria - if speculations are to be believed.

If it is exclusivity is what you so seek, a Ninja 250 and upwards is what you should aiming at, not the CBR 250! Or move to a city where you are the only guy who can afford a CBR 250R!

Have you been to Delhi or Chandigarh? There are a lot of pretty girls who look like your dream girl - till they open their mouths! I have been smitten by the XR1200x by looks and looks alone. So when I test ride the XR1200x next month, it might tell be a different story!

Even Ninja comes exclusive because of its price. If Ninja was manufactured here and was costing less than 2 lac , would you call it as exclusive or will compare to the pretty girls in Delhi or Chandigarh

Lets assume Onroad cost of CBR 250R is between 1.4 lac to 1.7[ABS] . It is a big money for majority of the Indian Middle class family. It will be exclusive at-least for some time , but may not be as exclusive as Ninja.

When ZMA was launched it was exclusive even in Bangalore, but not now.
Same would be the case for Ninja 250 and CBR 250R in a few years to come.

C-ABS does not do the braking for you. Firstly, it doesnt do anything when the bike is being ridden....its just sitting there idle waiting for your wheel to lock. Secondly, it doesnt do anythinng EVEN when you are braking...even under heavy braking it sits there idle doing nothing.
It only comes into picture when you are LOCKING EITHER OF THE WHEELS.

So when riding..if you use the front, front wheel will stop the bike...if you use the rear, rear wheel will stop the bike. Now while using either the front or the rear(we are talking of brakes here) if you act like a noob (aka under panic situations) and grab a handfull of the front lever or if you stand on the rear brake lever THEN AND ONLY THEN the C-ABS will be triggered to prevent any sort of wheel lockage. Thats Honds word...and you can verify that by going straight and grabbing a handfull of the front lever. The bike will stop vehemently killing your kids but the wheel will not lock and hence not skid.
Now try doing the same thing(grabbing the front lever like a maniac) on any non C-ABS bike and you would have crashed you bike already.

C-ABS has nothing to do with the speed at which the bike is being ridden.
But the system is activated above a decent speed threshold. Theres a C-ABS lamp in the instrument cluster which remains lit untill about 15kmh, once you are above that speed C-ABS lamp switches off telling you that its now active and is waiting for a wheel to lock(notice being active is different than being triggered...active = its idling to arrest a wheel lock; triggered= it is arresting a wheel lock)

To some C-ABS feels pointless...' i have never locked my wheel ever in my life no matter how hard I ride' was the reply of a friend of mine..'so why should I invest in the technology when I dont need it? '
Why you need it ? Because with increase in power you are going to increasingly hit 150 kmph unless if you are a member of the Clergy. Stopping any bike when doing 150+ kmh is a task. Now imagine having to panic brake at those speeds. It will help you in wet..it will help you in sand..it will help you with the cowdungs...it will help you against cold tyres. Actually...little will help you against cold tyres but C-ABS comes close.

if C-ABS is that necessary then why isnt it provided in the ninja 250 ?? It is more capable than the CBR 250 to achieve high speeds of 150kmph+.
NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THAT

the R1... the Busa... and almost every other bike doesn't have it yet.

The CBR1000RR was the first superbike to come with C-ABS...

not for long tho... it'll soon be an option on most bikes.
