In combined Braking System, when you push the rear brake lever, the front brake too is applied, controlled by a computer. In that case, why do you need a separate lever for the front brake..?
I saw this feature on a 750 cc Yamaha adventure bike (forgot its name). It has only the brake pedal, no lever.

PS : Pardon me if am going OT.
I think the C-ABS is activated only after you reach 10kmph speeds.... You might need the front breaks before that....Just a guess I'm not sure.Or you might need it for an endo...lol

I was just checking the Mahindra Mojo....it also gives around 26 bhp....one reason to buy the 250 instead of the Mojo

I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

But when you do use your rear brakes, more often than not, the smarter thing to do is to use both brakes simultaneously. Thats what is implemented in this system. the sport riding part will be better explained by ten hut.

Oh.. Now I get it. Rear works (when the pedal is pressed) only in combination with the front, while the front can be engaged independently using the lever. Correct..?

          Is true. Agree.
LOL -- rahul that would give yet another oppurtunity to meet up with you in mumbai

Ask that to the fashionistas who hog the page 3 & you will realise the competition there is more fierce

Just buy one DK..you are not gonna regret it...

Couldn't agree more .just waiting for that feeling of the base jumper when he readies himself for the free fall

& i know you will still buy the ducati & keep on shunning away from the harleys

As you have already chosen CBR250 for you next ride so it may hardly matter to you but ya i agree one of the reasons is purely show off (the thing which we posted earlier). But once you gather some experiences of so many years with bikes ranging from mere punnies to some mighty biggies, preferences do change!! And then changes the reason to buy the new ride!! (pour in some more additional years to your life, and the choices become obvious) So it is as simple as that..or is it?
agreed but exclusivity doesnt meaning just showing off !!! I should be happy when i'm driving the bike @ 40kmph even when a RTR guy comes along and keeps revving his engine lol I chose this bike cause it fits my needs and my budget. no changing that but and a big BUT I wouldnt like a CBR250R in every traffic signal i stop. ofcourse i cant control market dynamics but its just wishful thinking. i would love to own a ninja simply cause its exclusive but i cant afford it. btw bro showing off happens in the higher cc bikes too. there are enough wars on which looks better the R1 or the CBR ! maybe we have some serious bikers who own big bikes in xbhp but in the real world a 1000cc bike is as good as a merc or a audi. in a recent overdrive review of the R1 and Suzuki too the reviewer pointed out most bikes are bought just for show off and nobody really touches even 200kmph in india. i'm a very selfish man !

C-ABS works when ever the wheel locks. speed doesnt matter.

                  • Honda's Combined ABS Explained:

YouTube - Honda's new combined ABS system explained: Pt 2

CBR250R Sports the Combined ABS, which combines a front/rear wheel interlocking brake system with an anti-lock brake system (ABS).

This Combined ABS brake system in which the front/rear wheel interlocking brake generates a braking force ideally distributed between front and rear wheels, and high deceleration is obtained when the foot brake is applied, but this system assumes a sports ride when the hand brake is applied (on the front wheel), thus allowing the front brake to function independently.

Furthermore, the anti-lock brake system limits unexpected vehicle body movements due to wheel lock and releases riders from excessive tension even during sudden braking or under slippery road surface conditions such as rain. Thus, surer braking force can be secured with normal operation.

The combined ABS model is equipped with a three-pot caliper in front, front/rear wheel speed sensors that detect the condition of the vehicle, and an ABS modulator with a built-in ECU. The ECU processes information from wheel speed sensors and controls the feed of hydraulic pressure to the caliper. Advanced braking performance was achieved in step with maneuverability by placing heavy items such as ABS modulator near the center of gravity of vehicle body.

                    Note:

*Combined brake system is designed to assist braking operation. The basics of braking concurrently operating the hand brake (front wheel) and the foot brake (rear wheel) according to the circumstances should not change.

*ABS is not designed to shorten braking distance, but assist braking operation. Therefore, just like with vehicles without ABS, it is necessary to follow save riding practices such as decelerating sufficiently before cornering. The system does not control reckless driving.

                      • I have booked a R15 already but those show rooms are playing with my patience and making the delivery late, saying blue is not available for next 1 month . Now after Hearing the News about CBR250R, I am becoming confused and thinking if its worth to to wait for another 4 to 5 months and get this baby or just get another color of R15 now . What I felt is, if I wait for another 5 months and put money together and CBR250R doesn't turn up, I can always pay that amount and get Ninja . So not sure If the news is worth depending upon for the release date of the bike. Any solution for my confusion ????
