  • Yamaha is become a slow reaction some how the co has come up launching the FZ,R15,Fazer a 150cc class,if these bike were not there then i think yamaha would had to take its shutter down,as nothing worked after the RX,its time that they should also launch something in premium class 250cc like the CBR or a naked looking street fighter

    • @RX88: They may instantly bring in their bigger bikes as soon as there is competition in the market. Although the Ninja250R is available, it is expensive. If as specified if the CBR250R is launched at a price below 2Lac then yamaha people will have to do something about it which they definitely will I guess!

      • Yamaha has made quite a lot of new bike launches recently. Moreover its sales are going up day by day. So i think it will wait for sometime before making a new launch.

        • CBR 250R: 26 bhp & 27km/litre

I have got official details about the engine from honda website for the CBR 250R!

          Max power = 26bhp@8500 rpm

          Fuel consumption = 27km/l

          Here's the link: CBR250R | Honda/2011

Its a single cylinder though and not a twin like the ninja 250R. But i am sure that since its gonna be priced less than 2 lakhs, it will kick the ninja's butt in sales!

ya true, if its for non-ABS then i quit... even 1.8 lakh for ABS version seems quite a raise for me...

The Indian Daddies will be the most upset ones from this news. Now their kids will be crying for a sportsbike which is under 2 lacs.

                    • Looks like Honda officials looked into this thread and the senseless price speculation that was going around and now they have jacked up the price by a good 20 to 30K.

I am sure the above price must be for the Non-ABS version, every company lists the starting price of a product not the top end version.

                      • The panels are very much different.... the chota mota stuff like the blinkers, alloys etc are usually commonly sourced.

Ban whoever was pessimistic and was saying loud that Honda will be priced higher.

                          • I see the panels are simple and not very complicated and can be sourced at very competitive price. It is very much possible for Honda to price it at 1.5L, given the number of units they are going to sell here in India and abroad.
