    • I tried reading through all the pages here but 160 pages are way too many. I did read through a few and all I found was people cribbing about the single cylinder engine.
I am a bike enthusiast but not so good with the technical stuff. How much of a difference does it make to have a single or twin cylinder engine?
What is the issue with single cylinder that everyone is complaining about it?

Well, it's a very good bike even though it's a single cylinder. It's a Honda after all. Besides, people who are complaining are just one's who think the Ninja is a good bike, but way too expensive. They also think the CBR250 is a single cylinder bike and think it is expensive at 1.5-1.8 lakh price that's all. If you have the money, buy the Ninja. Or get the CBR, it's very good value for money. Don't complain is what i would say to them. Each bike has it's own charm.
Riding is a way of life. Sometimes, it might also be a way of giving life. So Ride safe. In both contexts.

I feel the same way. Its a pretty good bike and price seems to be good too.

Around 35K price difference for ABS? Even in entry level sedans we can get ABS for around 18-20K more than the non ABS version.
I'm really eager to take a test ride, panic brake on both the versions to see if that extra money spent is really worth it!
Though I donno when I'll get the chance!
Exactly my thoughts, 35K just for the ABS is BS pricing from Honda. I wish I would show my middle finger to them, I woudnt mind paying that price for a pure unadultrated KTM though. I just hate these guys, I wish TVS and Bajaj come up with a proper 250 and price it sensibly.

            • @worrisomebear: I don't the flash image which states 'Booking Open' on the CB250R image on the website.

I happened to visit Kun Honda Showroom in Chennai. Per Sales Manager, the official booking date starts from 3/1/2011. Since I happened to be the first person inquired about the bike, he was bit liberal in telling me that though Honda announced about the booking to be opened for CBR250R, however, they are yet to get directions with regards to showroom, displays, section and sales leaflets. The initial booking amount is Rs.5000/-.

              • I hope Honda displays the Bike from 1st of Jan along with the test drives

A couple of weeks ago I got a call from PBK based on a mail I sent in early 2010 (might be Feb or March )

He was even generous enough to offer me a test drive of the bike..
Feels like Bajaj is facing the heat from Honda
No comments at all on the performance figure comparison but affordability wise Honda will win the wagon anyday

                        • 1.8 lac ! no abs for me. Any idea if the tri colour(RBW) CBR will be available here.or atleast black without that stupid 'accurate silver' treatment?

                            • i doubt honda will give cbr 250cc test ride no way... actually i asked one dealer here he replied by asking me did bajaj give u test ride of ninja i ans NO same applies here he said, yes once the product get's old automatically they will... Honda knows some people will surely change their minds once they ride it on,but same applies once they didnt get a ride because surely one will book in anxiety by just saying it will be damn good...

                              • Even mere display piece is something the dealers don't expect any sooner at this point of time. So let's not even think about test drive
