I am afraid buddy that atleast the on-road info is incorrect....
I just called up Yamaha Chandigarh Showroom, Check this
Yamaha R-15 Rs. 98,500/- Ex-Showroom
and Rs. 1,00,500/- On the road with everything (Insurance + Temp No.)
As you can see there is only Rs. 2000/- difference. I am glad I am currently in this city.

Just like i suspected...lol.The “Booking Open” message shall be uploaded on our website by 29th Dec’10. To make this booking experience more exciting for our Customers, create an exclusive information corner in your showroom with your Sales people equipped with effective customized sales talk.
they want to create a small little excitement by opening the bookings on eve of new year. I'm pretty sure they'll be making 'enquiry.asp' page of their website visible for this. :P
I'm kinda sad at the announced pricing..:@...
Bajaj has habit of playing around with 15-20cc increase / decrease.Originally posted by yellowspunk View Postsad. lets wait for bajaj to show their hand !
thinking in that lines....expect something like this 240cc(definately not more than 245cc :P), around 2 bhp bump than the existing models. little more plastic here & there...& tada!!... and a tagline like --> 'Worlds Fastest Indian just got Faster!'Last edited by xxbomb; 12-27-2010, 07:52 PM.sigpic

Is it really worth that much? The C-ABS. I might just be able to buy the bike in the basic model. Should I wait and take it with the braking system? I have been following this thread for sometime now. Read through the entire thing and now I really want the bike.

wait for the reviews and then decide. common sense says go for the ABS. is there a price tag on your life?Originally posted by epic.fail.engineer View PostIs it really worth that much? The C-ABS. I think this is exaggerating it a little bit .. There is literally no other bike in the country with the C-ABS system in place. And suddenly this is going to save your life? I have already read a lot of reviews and drive tests from Thailand, US etc. Its not about that anymore. And one more thing is that it costs just 500$ more in the US for the C-ABS. which is around 23k. Why should it be so expensive here?Originally posted by yellowspunk View Postwait for the reviews and then decide. common sense says go for the ABS. is there a price tag on your life?

lol your money, your head, your wish. ABS does exist in most of the cars being sold in india not something out of the blue. i presume ABS isnt made here so they have to import it which might possibly carry some duty hence costly.Originally posted by epic.fail.engineer View PostI think this is exaggerating it a little bit ..
