      If priced right,

HONDA is gonna rope-in some of the R15 owners looking for an upgrade if not all
HONDA is gonna cash on some of the HH Zma-R/ZMR owners looking for a upgrade for sure. Since the deal if off between Hero and HONDA, future ZMA-R or ZMR buyers will definitely give it a second thought

Bajaj has Ninja in its stable and somehow I feel more Pulsars are gonna arrive by the time CBR250 is out plus the KTM-Bajaj 250/300 cc bike..... Anyhow all those are still news with no launch or any activity from Bajaj... So Honda wins against two of the present benchmarks

PRICING IS THE KEY ... April 2011... four more months

motorcycle-USA is just about to launch the 2011-Honda CBR first ride review...

        Thanks man ...

Saw it ... Seems promising with the review saying few kmph down on Top end compared to the Ninja, But guess everything will be clear once there is a shootout between Ninja250 and the CBR250.... But at almost half the price, This does look very promising for the beginners in serious 250cc category Sports-touring segment who dont want to shell out more than 3 lacs for a 250cc Ninja

        Few more months

2011 Honda CBR250R First Ride Impression for Motor Cycle USA - Steve Atlas

Steve Atlas: Hey everybody Steve Atlas here from Motorcycle USA, we at Honda to checkout 2011 ......CBR250R,......

You probably be wondering why an experienced rider like myself is here to check out what you think is a beginner bike, Well....

Lets go find out what is all about......

The First think that really stands out is that it is a single cylinder engine.. it is cool because the single gives a little bit of a character ....You know It gives a little bit of different sound...It is also easy to ride...it is also counterbalanced at freeway speeds it is not buzzy you would think it would be....aam may be compared to competition in this case the Kawasaki it may be down little bit on top speed....but where it make up for it is definitely in the bottom end.....it is far superior when it comes to gear selection as well.....

This you can be more lazy with it you can leave it in higher gear in some twisty roads...We are fortunate enough to get it to ride it around town...we did some freeway riding we did some high speed speed burst..we did some canyon riding and i mean we pushed things pretty hard but it impressed me for especially for what it is.......

Non ABS bike is fun you can do stopies..and slide things around little bit..

As far it goes this bike is a versatile do it all machine.... 20 to 25 pounds lighter than the ninja 250..so it also makes less hp..

2011 Honda CBR250R Tech Review Video for Motor Cycle USA - Steve Atlas

Steve Atlas: We are here to give a technical review of the CBR250R....Chassis wise it features a twin beam design...

The front brake does not activate rear...but the rear brake does activate the single pison in the front..

                      • The bike actually sounded sweet in the video. Hope it sounds more aggressive in real. Can't wait for its launch. Happy to know its superior to baby Ninja in terms of gear shift and weights lesser.

No dude, its a 250. Check the exhaust pipe and frame.

                          @chicmagnet - bro,its 200miles on a full tank !, (tank capacity is 13ltrs). So mileage is around 24.5 kmpl.
In hondas brochure it says 27kmpl.

When Honda says 27 kmpl, I believe they mean atleast 27kmpl when the bike is pushed hard, it can give more mileage as per your riding/cruising speed since it has EFI. Also, didn't they say 50 kmpl in a video earlier.

Here are some Mileage figures from a thai website

                            • Which means, with a full tank capacity of 13L we can expect a tank range of about 250kms.at the max. Since it is a fuel injected vehicle, we need to leave 2-3lts.i.e., fill as soon as it hits reserve.
Does the bike have a low fuel indicator like the Ninja, in whose case the light starts glowing when there is 4L left?
                              Tank range assumption: ~25kmpl*10L=250kms.
                              Quench my thirst with gasoline!

                              • I don't expect the FE to be so less, it might be some where around 30 to 35 (who knows may be more ), it has good low and mid range torque and ain't peaky like the Ninja, the rider wont be revving much, so should deliver better FE than the Ninja atleast.

I just read the link provided by @harryhunt7, the mileage seems to be pretty good for a new bike 32 to 35 kmpl. 32kmpl under hard riding is very good that too with a pillion. I am very very happy.
