        The torque units are ft-lb or nm? (although ft-lb seems more likely)

        Looking at the dyno results, the Honda has a more efficient drivetrain, losing around 3-4 hp while the Ninja loses a full 7 hp.
        Peak torque is at 6-7K rpm, not that great low end IMO.

          21ps and 14lb-ft or 18nm or 14nm of torque?
          no wonder the mileage claim of 50kmpl LOL
          as well go for P220 !

              As far it goes this bike is a versatile do it all machine.... 20 to 25 pounds lighter than the ninja 250..so it also makes less hp..

              Lets wait for the shoot out, but I believe for India this is an awesomely priced bike not like USA where both Ninja 250R & CBR250R cost the same.

              The pricing alone is a major factor, I need not worry about the Ninja beating me.. I wonder how many ninja's will I spot on the Street when this bike becomes more common and also KTM 200, R15 upgrade.

              Also if the need be for some ppl wanting to beat Stock ninja we can tweak this Honda 250cc with lot of mods like Juice Box, After-market Exhaust with/without db killer, etc.

                21ps at the rear wheel, not at the engine.
                If you dyno a 220, you will probably find ~17-18 ps at rear wheel.

                Similar losses for torque.
                Also Bajaj bikes are perceived to be having the highest drivetrain losses.

                  Chill, dude.The power figures are gauged at the rear-wheel.

                  What's really surprising is that the Honda makes more torque than the Kwacker. So that means this bike is not going to be slow by any standards!!

                    Please go for the bore kit. These nos are at the rear wheel, every bike will have around 15 to 20% loss of power thru transmission. The R15 will have somewhere arround 13.5 to 14 BHP at rear wheel, p220 around 16 to 17 PS at the rear wheel.

                          Initial pickup... yes... upper midrange and top end... no... look at the results... the Honda shows sharp drop in torque after 8,500 rpm whereas the Kawa maintains the output till 11,000 rpm... no doubt its due to the multi cylinder config but still don't write the Kawa off just yet....

                            Even the midrange power delivery to some extent would be great and comparable to the Ninja. In city chores, the Honda would be a breeze to ride,if the power/torque curve is anything to go by. For pure madness and ride involvement, the Baby Kwacker would still rule the roost.
