If it is priced over 1.5 (as being reported) then I doubt it will be a R15 assasin because the On-road price will be more and I dont think it will impact R-15 as there will be a good 70k price difference between the two. But yes Mojo is going to be a dead meat for sure.

    • THIS IS MINDLESS SPECULATION !! :|

the Honda CEO himself said it would be priced "far less than 1.5L" but then Honda officials corrected it by saying priced between 1.4L-1.5L. (source overdrive)

      what is your problem people?

They just might!! The CBR has an FI, while the Ninja being sold in the US is still a carb unit. So the CBR should be better when it comes to smoothness (I'm not taling about power here), plus its a HONDA .

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Mojo's probably toast. Unless some one desperately want to be different. Hard to say on Ninja but, R15 may have serious concern. Maybe thats why Yamaha is planning on a new R15. It almost seems like Yamaha is burning their midnight oil late in the night, while Ninja folks are behaving like another normal day in office.

From an individual perspective, I wasn't willing to pay some extra 20k for R15, though I'm willing to pay extra 70-100k for CBR250 cause I feel the entire package does justify it (Im quoting for on road). R15 and CBR250 comes under the affordable bracket for me (provided pricing are as speculated). Ninja is still out of the equation. I understand Individual case cannot be used for justification, but I feel this may be the case for a good many people.

          • @vkuchhal: the ninja sold in the US market is still carb. whereas CBR comes with better fi unit, ABS, and other goodies.. so you never know, people might just go for it

I usually am a silent observer, until i have a valid question or can add some value to knowledge on the subject..

but, of course, its quite natural that ppl will speculate after coming across different versions related to pricing... we are all keeping our fingers crossed... and praying to God that Honda brings it out at 1.5 L OTR for Non-ABS.. since 1.5 L is a sweet spot for many.. some can afford even if its priced at 2 L OTR.. but for many, it wud be a sad deal breaker..

even i am interested in cbr250r.. so keeping my fingers crossed that the Honda Officials are bang on the price... tho if i go for it, i def wud go for C-ABS version..
I speak the truth not so much as I would like to, but as much as I dare, and I dare a little more as I grow OLDER.!!

                  • Hmmm.. that means somewhere around 1.5 ex showroom and it is almost the price which was expected (although I was praying for 1.3)

Will still wait for the official declaration though

                          • As per Motoroids,

The bookings for the CBR250R will officially start in the Indian market by March February 2011. The new bike and will most likely come at a sticker price of Rs 149,990 ex-showroom for the non-ABS version, and Rs 169,990 for the ABS version. As evident, both ABS and non-ABS versions of the motorcycle will be made available in the Indian market, and the price difference between the two models would be quite substantial

                            • nothing too substantial. just 500 dollars. i dont know how many will actually buy the c-abs model. not many i guess. i even wonder whether the c-abs version will be made available in india.
superbikes are the biggest blunders on indian roads.
