The 13,000-redline Kawasaki is quicker, but you have to scream it. The 10,500-rpm Honda delivers better low-end thrust without the drama. It’s that simple. Pick your preference, and keep in mind, a good bike is not only measured by its top speed.

We’ve seen that CBR250R hit an indicated 162 kmph, and in stock form Gabe tells me it has been clocked at a true 150 kmph or better.

Is the CBR250R a Ninja 250R killer? No.

Is it solid competition? You bet.

It may not win a drag race with some other 250s, but it is a winner in its own right.

The new CBR250R one-ups Kawasaki's Ninjette with optional ABS.

Felt nice after reading the above post. But the irony is i never expected Honda to provide a genuine competitive world class product without any serious compromises. The LET delivery of the bike would be a revelation, IMO!!

      • Anyways, why are we comparing baby Ninjette with CBR250R?

Ninja is a 3 Lac rupee twin cylinder bike and has that amazing deltabox frame and better suspension. While 250R is a 1.5Lac rupee Basic single cylinder 250 with regular steel diamond frame and basic suspension set-up?

Ninja does not have delta box frame...

In an L twin or V twin config the tyre has more time to recover from the power pulses but thats no insurance against slides. Also a Vtwin or Ltwin will never rev as high as an inline.
First of all, i was not comparing an inline with a v-twin! I just shared the info that Ducati's are indeed high rev machine atleast the one i rode [748] and it is a v-twin.

Buddy, what will a chassis do if there was no engine plonked on it! So, cutting it short i was contributing my inputs about you saying chassis is everything while cornering.

According to me chassis is all about stabilty (as you also said now), and cornering depends on the how well the bike and the biker can play with the CG. And how much you can accelerate while cornering depends on how the power is delivered to the rear tyre!

I will look out for the discovery video i was talking about and pass on the link, it not about traction control but how Ducati 916 took the racing world by storm by developing its v-twin engine delivering ultra smooth power. [If they had to go by what you were saying, they should have reworked their chassis]
