In other countries like the US, Canada, Oz, it is simple because I assume Honda already has the production cost from the thailand factory, they just have to add in cost of frieght, duties, local taxes and margins, and you have the final retail price.
Thanks bro, now it makes sense.

      • I was checking out the price of this bike and Ninja 250R, they are priced more or less the same in US, then why Ninja is expensive in INDIA???

        Can someone enlighten me?

        Comment

        • The reason is that NINJA is brought in India through CKD route thereby attracting more taxes. And in case of CBR, it will be manufatured in India so will be cheaper.

          • Ok fine again a noob question, A lot of guys are telling that Ninja 250R is a better bike than this. So can we put it this way that, if Honda gets this machine for the price that we all are talking about, then this is a good buy for the price??? Or its not worthy of investing?

cbr250r is definetly an exellent product for the price speculated.Honda pricing this bike similar to ninja in US show their confidence in the product.

                • It depends on the perspective of each person, everyone has to decide for themselves based on the need and budget

We all are waiting for the confirmation of price, once it is done then only we will know when it is good buy for the quoted price or not.

As far as I am concerned 1.5-1.6 On Road (Non C-ABS) will be a good price

                      • Prices will be announced officially in January 2011, just got a confirmation from this dealer in Pune.

Also got a price hint from Honda Sales people that it will be around Rs. 1.5 lacs. So I have crossed my fingers.
