Well I guess you must be the only fellow on xbhp who feels this way regarding govt. charging less tax to make more revenueOriginally posted by yellowspunkaffordability will win anytime over honda badge.
its funny cause the government is stupid enough to lose out on a good revenue source. you people enjoy. i dont mind paying my taxes !
I never said there weren't any taxes, its just less compared to other cities.
check the below post, I guess the same tax applies applies for Chandigarh in comparison with the R-15's price difference quoted earlier by me.

charging less to make more money? nobody from blore is gonna come and register their vehicle @ chandigarh.. even if all the nearby areas are combined i still dont think chandigarh will make as much revenue as blore. there is a difference of 10k rs !! besides the point of making vehicle owning costlier to curb spiraling traffic conditions.. if people wanna buy a vehicle they will buy it irrespective of taxes. besides everything is costly in blore, if people can live their they should be able to afford the taxes.Originally posted by harryhunt7 View PostWell I guess you must be the only fellow on xbhp who feels this way regarding govt. charging less tax to make more revenue

What has this got to do with me saving money on my New bike
I too have lived in Bangalore for over three years and I know, my first Bike HH CBZ is registered from Bangalore RTO.

What are you talking about, you make no sense. Didn't you read the tax charges mentioned earlier by amardeep2006, they are applicable for Chandigarh as well, I guess the Insurance is free.

Don't you guys think that this is going seriously OT
, the thing is we have to pay taxes which are levied on us by the government and we do not have any say in that, there is no use of saying anything to each other...
Anyways coming back on topic, can anyone tell me the interest rates which they charge for 2 wheelers? and is honda planning to bring in some special finance options for CBR as they did for Twister and Stunner earlier where they were giving free insurance and interest rate of 8-9%?

CBR is going out of pocket day by day, though I never planned to buy one
All because of those fools who were comparing and constantly saying that this Honda is better than the Ninja250r..This may have encouraged Honda
(I know it sounds foolish)
I guess on-road prices for the non-abs will be somewhere around 1.75,and that is very expensive if you are following the thread from day one and quoting Honda's 'well under 1.5 lacs' promise..
OT: Mahindra's 'Mojo' is lost! When do the bookings start?
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

Somehow, I don't really think this all that disappointing or surprising .. Given that the only other bike in the segment is 1Lakh more expensive than this. Also please keep in mind that both these bikes cost exactly the same in the US. The only real question right now is whether you jump in and buy the bike, or wait like I think a lot of people will wait and see what the other companies are coming up with .. One good product at an aggressive price will throw the market wide open... only time will tell...Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught. - Oscar Wilde

Does it even qualifies for a track ????? A traffic laden road !!!!!Originally posted by forty6Because on normal tracks i have for 15 secs in too much traffic beaten a busa.
In such roads CBR250R would be smoked by thousands of cyclists too
Thing is on places like City high speed transit and National Highways, motorcycles are pushed.People does enjoy riding motorcycles for those corners and fast straights otherwise everyone would have worshiped a Box on Four Wheels.
And CBR250R is not only for India it is meant to be a global 250cc like the Ninja. In some other countries it will have to face the fact that it may not(according to you) on Indian roads.
And we are not discussing the Bike just because its a 250cc we are here looking at a company Honda and a enthusiast's brand CBR,what else can a discussion about a motorcycle involve ?????
And if this thread is not to discuss motorcycles then..........well what else would one expect at Xbhp if its not motorcycling ??? Film Reviews ??
