      Same here.

Everyone is speculating too much about the CBR & what if honda gives a shock to us by doing the opposite.

It has now become like a thriller movie.

      • Shocking revelation!

Okie, some very weird news coming from me now. I have a friend who knows the customs official for the Bangalore region. Apparently, the CBR250R is coming in at a price of...... shockingly.... and to the disappointment of many..... 2.50Lac on road! THe customs official himself is buying one for his son/relative or something and he was made aware of the price the bike ''might'' hit the Indian roads at.

Now this piece of news, I am sharing with you, because it is very reliable according to me, but, there is a HIGH chance that it might not be true. He said very clearly that it was the Single cylinder Honda CBR250R. @2.50Lacs.

Could be mis-informed. I just felt like this is relevant news for this thread. Don't bash me if its wrong :P

I am seriously hoping that your last line is true or a lot of people here who were expecting to buy the CBR would commit suicide from the news. LOL

BTW i told you guys already that the honda is gonna give some shock. I would not be surprised at all if this news comes out to be true considering the arrogance of honda in india

Yeah, even I hope the above news ISN'T true. I would definitely like to see a cheaper price tag. But, that is what I heard. Was heavily disappointed when I heard it and asked the guy repeatedly if he was joking or not .

Shrugs What can I do? Keep your fingers crossed for another5 months :P

              • Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (Pvt.) Ltd. will also start production of the CBR250R next spring and extend sales from India to South America. Honda will also offer the CBR250R at a more affordable price in the diversified Indian motorcycle market by effectively carrying out global procurement of parts and materials in the same way as Thai Honda.

                • Ask any journalist who was present at the Thailand unveiling event about the pricing and see what figure they quote. Should put an end to speculation.

Prices quoted of non ABS version is 1.30L. Don't give the argument that Honda prices are a premium, instead, thank the competition. (Yes, I know there is no direct rival)

What if Honda prices it higher? Depends, if you are willing and your pocket allows you, go ahead, take the plunge. Else, sulk like I would.

But, IMHO if the CBR is retailing at even an iota over 2L,(I am not putting this as a suggestion, Honda better price it the lowest you can, 1.5L ABS) I would go with the green brigade.

                  • Cry baby

well to say about what has changed in past 1 month ...

was thinking to update from my 160RTR to R15 .....
after this (CBR), thought of spending some more on the CBR...
and leave alone the waiting factor ...after that if it comes at 2.5 then i am doomed .....
Whatever doesn't kills me only makes me stronger....

                      • Well if it is goin to be at a price tag above Rs 2.0 lakhs then its just a piece of S#!T 4 a single cylinder....

                        Comment

                        • If it would be priced anything above or around 2.5 lacs as someone had mentioned before..Who'd buy one?? It's very unlikely that it will cost above 2.0 lacs..

Why did Honda call journos then? To make a fool of them by saying it'd be priced "well under 1.5 lacs"..

No way man! 1.5 lacs is good for a 250cc;single cylinder..Honda will make a lot of profit..They won't price it higher than that.Atleast, for the time being,we can hope for this...
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

                          • Regarding the point of pricing at 2.5L I have a couple of questions.

                            1. When is he(custom officer) getting it?
If before april,2011 I think that would be in form of a CBU imported from thailand and hence the high-price.Honda said they will manufacture the bike in india and price it ~1.5ish but that doesnt go off the shelf before april,11.

                            2. Is the new CBR already on sale in thailand?
                            ...Back to HIBERNATE mode...
