Which route do you take to your office daily? Let me know. Tommorow you will see a black swift with jet black tinted window(and no number plates) line up next to your bike at one of the red signals. Don't make a fuss and sit down quietly in the car when you see it.Originally posted by darkknight View PostI have 15 L in my account.
A week later, I will post my ownership thread for the Ducati 1100 or the Harley XR1200x.
Is true. Agree.Originally posted by Technician View PostSo, Ninja 250 is unaffordable to a very large section of bikers at its current price, irrespective of what it offers as a package of an able performing machine..Last edited by bluevolt; 11-16-2010, 05:50 PM.

there is a big difference between affordability and one's willingness to spend

. We are bikers my friend not fashion divas wanting an exclusive eye catching gown. Let everyone get the best that he can and wants. I for one do not desire any exclusivity but only a pure biking pleasure.lol when people expect exclusivity from a 70k bike, i dont think i'm wrong in expecting it from something double the price. its my opinion it should be exclusive, i will never buy a pulsar for the same reason. besides the value of a gown is very different from the value of a bike. a gown cant beat a another gown in a race.Originally posted by enfro View Post+1 agree strongly

that is the whole point...it is subjective... Your idea of a fair price may not be shared by the manufacturer...Originally posted by sherry_unicornlover View PostBeing a consumer, i just want the bike to be priced the way it should be. FAIR.I like 'em Naked

Affordability- having enough money to buy something(any bike within one's budget)(inversely related to exclusivity, more affordable less exclusive)
Priced correctly- worth the money we pay for it(ninja)I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

if thats the case... rest assured, the CBR250 will offer you more exclusivity than the pulsar...Originally posted by yellowspunk View Postlol when people expect exclusivity from a 70k bike, i dont think i'm wrong in expecting it from something double the price. its my opinion it should be exclusive, i will never buy a pulsar for the same reason.I like 'em Naked

CBR250R VS Ninja250R price comparison may not be that justified...but Honda vs Kawasaki price comparison may be relevant...Honda has a brand name(equating to quality, reliability whatever) and uses that to price their products at a premium compared to others...another confounding factor in the equation independent of performance ,no of cylinders, cost of manufacturing...

This is the only way one can buy a superbike. If you think rationally and wanna meet out other important stuff in life ( the list of which is an ever increasing one) there should never come a time where a superbike will make much sense to you.Originally posted by darkknight View Postthe laws of economics are bent & decisions are made by "emotions" in which case price & affordability go for a toss.
we have had examples of many a guys here who have done that.
Just buy one DK..you are not gonna regret it...
You Sir, think like an inline4 cylinder engine.Originally posted by sumit512 View PostWhy worry what others drive? Get fr yourself the best you can and then enjoy it on an open road

Err.. One question.
In combined Braking System, when you push the rear brake lever, the front brake too is applied, controlled by a computer. In that case, why do you need a separate lever for the front brake..?
I saw this feature on a 750 cc Yamaha adventure bike (forgot its name). It has only the brake pedal, no lever.
PS : Pardon me if am going OT.MOTORCYCLING IS AS MUCH ART AS IT IS SCIENCE

The front brake lever works in the traditional way.. i.e. as it should in the CBR250R. In sport riding, you may need the front brake more and using the rear brake as such will surely upset your balance(something like that). But when you do use your rear brakes, more often than not, the smarter thing to do is to use both brakes simultaneously. Thats what is implemented in this system. the sport riding part will be better explained by ten hut.Originally posted by sooraj_vs View PostErr.. One question.

Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

The reason/s for which people buy motorbikes varies with every individual and varies to too very vast extents...I hope you may recognize this very fact atleast. Wont you?Originally posted by yellowspunk View Postlol when people expect exclusivity from a 70k bike, i dont think i'm wrong in expecting it from something double the price. its my opinion it should be exclusive, i will never buy a pulsar for the same reason. besides the value of a gown is very different from the value of a bike. a gown cant beat a another gown in a race.
As you have already chosen CBR250 for you next ride so it may hardly matter to you but ya i agree one of the reasons is purely show off (the thing which we posted earlier). But once you gather some experiences of so many years with bikes ranging from mere punnies to some mighty biggies, preferences do change!! And then changes the reason to buy the new ride!! (pour in some more additional years to your life, and the choices become obvious) So it is as simple as that..or is it?
