Not that I am saying,we are rash drivers but yeah everyone(who's a bit of a nut or acts like one someday) would never think-'Yes,I have got ABS and I would go completely mad with it'..Yes,odds are that ABS might help in a better way than conventional brakes, but if a dog decides to confront you..won't be much of a help I believe..
ABS need not promote rash driving intentionally. The honda guys might have to given the ABS to increase the safety but few guys take it in an other way. The ABS helps the bike to maintain its stability even on hard braking. But the hard braking without an ABS can lead to unstability & hence a 'skid'.

The ABS gives a better control on the bike & hence the idea to rip the bike. Although it depends on the rider.
NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THAT

    • Honda could do a Bajaj by introducing a 125, 150 & 250 at mouth watering prices!! But that is all speculations so far ain't it!

In my opinion (and most probably others too!), Honda might just get all of them. Set up operations, manufacturing (being the most important), sales etc whilst selling the 250cc and then once that is up, introduce the 125 & 150. If all three bikes are sharing the parts, costs are gonna down heavily, a la Pulsar.

Would it replace the existing offerings? Maybe. Maybe not.

dont you guys think the ABS can also promote rash driving?? because most of the stunters (rash drivers) dont drive that fast because they fear that they may not have enough braking power
(you mean to say they have too much braking power and would hence skid the wheel)
& bike can skid if they brake excessively .Now since they will have a much safer & precise braking
(safer, yes ; precise, i am not sure)
they might drive the bike to its limit & much more insanely in traffic
(ABS is a tool to stop the bike..it doesnt stop the bike for you..you have to pull in the lever..and it will prevent the wheel from locking..so all those who are faster than their lady luck can fly on the bike would/could/should benefit in emergency and panick braking)
          just my thought nothing else.
the part in red implies stunters = rash drivers/riders
          Which is untrue.

C-ABS has no negatives/downsides...not even moral.

          • Is there any hope that 150 makes it to india after 250 or is the price band too narrow for that
Whatever doesn't kills me only makes me stronger....

            • ABS is great thing to have on Indian roads.

I have one question. As this bike has combined braking if I push rear brake only will it make front brake leaver loose in it's hinge (This happens in Honda Activa!! and it was frightening experience for first time).

that problem might be unique to an Activa and not to all.... because I have been riding a Dio and an Activa from the past 4 years and have never experienced such a thing....
and when ABS takes over via a computer it just senses that you have pushed the lever and whether the wheel is locking or not.... if it senses both of the conditions it modulates the pressure on both the brakes so as to stop it from locking...

Only new version of activa sports combined braking which is very weird for us but good for noob female riders who don't know how to break properly.

The ABS in the 250 has sensors on the wheels so if you brake hard at high speeds the ABS(computer) takes over and there is no realtion between you pressing the front brakes and not pressing them...all you do is press the back brakes, what ever you do front brakes will be applied, all you have to do is keep the bike standing. Now I dont know if the front brake lever goes loose or not.
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

                            • Key Features of "Street Fighter" CBR250R:

                              Instrument Cluster:

The CBR250R's digital gauges with analog tachometer provides vital riding information in a styled, hi-tech instrumentation package.

                              Layer Styled Faring:

Its unique bodywork is designed for style and functionality. It routes airflow for both engine cooling and rider comfort, while creating a unique sportbike style.

                              Combined Anti-lock Brake System:

Combined ABS can be a big help in making controlled stops in less than ideal conditions. Like on wet pavement, or when there's sand on the road or other debris.
It's a perfect choice whether you're using your bike as a commuter or touring since it helps you stop with added confidence.

                              Liquid-Cooled Engine:

Engine is light, simple, returns excellent fuel economy, and features a broad power band with plenty of low-revving torque.

                              Counterbalance Shaft:

The engine is a smooth runner it features a counter balancer. You get the narrow overall width and power advantages of a single cylinder along with the smoothness of a multi-cylinder bike.

                              Fuel Injection:

It starts right up, even in cold weather. Compared to a carbureted bike, it also helps reduce emissions and enhance performance and fuel economy.

                              Pro-Link Rear Suspension:

It uses a single-shock per-load adjustable rear suspension that not only gives you a smooth ride, but helps enhance handling as well, just as on some of our larger sport models.

                              Rear Disc Brakes:

It features front and rear hydraulic discs for excellent stopping power and brake feel. The single front disc helps keep things simple and lowers unsprung weight, too.

                              Low Seat Height:

A low 30.5" seat height does more than help make sure the CBR250R fits a wide range of riders. It makes it easier to put your feet down at stoplights and in parking lots–a big confidence builder.

                              Rear Seat & Grab Rails:

A separate passenger seat, integrated grab rail, and stylish Brake Light.

                              Small Under-seat Storage:

Removing the rear passenger seat provides a lockable area to throw a map, gloves, or a spare set of sunglasses.

                              In Conclusion:

CBR250R offers a perfect balance of features along with typical Honda refinement; Excellent power, unmatched build quality and attention to detail-combine all that with Honda’s famous reliability and the new CBR250R will be an instant winner here in india.
