  • One thing that I can say with 99% accaurance is that no other 250cc bike would come as cheap as the CBR, may it be the b-king or the fazer 250r, unless they open up a factory for manufacturing it in India itself, which is very unlikely....
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

      • I visited PBK today...Was casually talking to a lady in there. I told him bout the CBR250R. She didnt know the name of the bike but was aware of a 250cc Honda being launched with a price tag of around 1.5L..
I asked her that this would definitely hit the sales of Ninja.
She replied that 'Ninja ke rates bhi girne waale hain sir Honda ki wajah se. March tak samjho..'
(Ninja is also going cheaper due to Honda 250cc...Expect so by March)

I hope BAJAJ will give us shock... Except Bajaj no other company offer a good bike for such low cost.

Hopping a Pulsar 250 parallel twin. (not sure about name)

              • Honda Quality >> Bajaj Quality

We are getting a "World Class" bike at an affordable rate for a change why does everyone want not have that!

it is Honda quality vs kawasaki quality not bajaj...
plus Ninja is the best seller in it's class but we have to wait n watch for CBR's performance although I believe that CBR will be great bike to own too

but we should not be comparing the two bikes as of now

                    Hmmm.

i never compare Honda with Bajaj even in my nightmare.

                    okay think like this.

A bajaj 300c with around 35rwhp. R15 like look(i doubt bajaj). cost 1.2 lacks. EX.
(Bajaj already have a bike 220cc single cylinder ~22bhp cost 86k)

It will sure effect the sales of CBR. many people don't even know about the diff between Bajaj and Honda, single cylinder and parallel twin.

What they want is good bike with low price.

My guess is it's performance more or less equal to 220 with better top end.

But any day Honda > Bajaj.

Hmm, so there is no difference between 26 Honda horses and 21 Bajaj horses. Your statement is as good as saying "P150 performance is more or less equal to 220 with better top end".

                        • Lol! We have already started speculating about Bajaj 250!
Who said that there will be any? And even if there will be, don't expect a parallel twin engine!

No way will a rounded Bajaj Pulsar be as good looking as an edgy Honda CBR!

(that is unless they hire me to design one)

                            Rumor of Pulsar 250

YES. If Bajaj comes up with a P250 with few godies like monoshock, actual liquid cooling and full fairing around 1.2L it will eat CBR250R's market big time.

Also, In india, Not every CBR250R's potential buyer is aware of CBR's iconic big brothers and those who are aware may already know that CBR250R share none of the charcteries with bigger sibligngs.

Also, apart from initial lot of P220 DTS-Fi , bajaj hasn't done any big blunder with P220s so P250 will be very desirable with a price tag 40-50K less than the CBR250R's

For Older generation products: Yes, I could agree with the above statement

For Current generation products: I see a sea of improvement (The P135LS is an eye opener by the way it revs and handles)

For Future generation products: Quality definitely has to match the best if Bajaj want's to become a global manufacturer.
