  • All,
I see a positive side to the deliveries being pushed to the end of April. By end of April, I am hoping that all auto magazines will have the complete review of the CBR in their latest issue i.e., May. Most May issues will be available in the last week of April. This is good for those who intend to buy after checking reviews and to those who have booked, it helps to decide whether to buy or not. I am mostly curious to know its mileage on Indian roads.

Have a reason to be optimistic. By end of April, it will be one month since the bike launch and normally within this time new bikes are tested.

          • @bprags: Thanks. I have updated the sheet.
@sudeepnbr: Yes. The wait is killing me as well. However I am happy that I waited for the CBR. I really wanted a liquid cooled bike and there was none available below 2L. With this you really dont have to think about non stop cruising at high speeds. I think air cooled bikes are prone to much more wear and tear if continuously driven a high speeds.
@ajaymanohar: Thanks. I still feel college is the best time to own a bike as then you really have time to enjoy it. Now you have to take out time from your busy schedule to enjoy biking. Anyhow better late than never.

            • OMG this Wait!! I have already started getting convinced to cancel my booking.. Wait is killing all my excitement and if the deliveries are to be started in May, i am sure backing off because of my important exams..

I wanted to ask,, Can we transfer our booking??? Hold on! its not confirm as of now but will surely let any xbhpian take the advantage of my booking if i am cancelling it.. Mine is in the first 10 bookings at the showroom.

P.S: In yesterday's dream, i just parked my Red CBR in Market and went to buy some stuff and when returned, found some kids just broke the headlight of my baby
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

              • Hi Vivek, I am buying it in Bangalore. If we buy it in Bangalore, we can ride it anywhere in India. This place has some extra ordinary rules, wherein any bike registered any place other than Bangalore, cannot be ridden without paying full taxes. If u want, we can take up this discussion elsewhere. What about you, where have you booked it from?

is it only Blore or there is anyother place like this ....

Thats very true. But lets face it, passion is still alive. Thats what finally matters. And in a way, I am happy, coz' in college, I would have been more of a show-off, madman riding kinda guy, now atleast I am more worried about my life, my family and last but not the least, my bike. Its like I was born directly into a responsible biker family than a idiot-growing-slowly-into-human biker family. No offence to any please.
                  Sorry for the OT.
Cant really wait for the CBRrrr!!!

                      • How is the ABS performance of Honda CBR 250. Is is worth to go with Honda ABS version or one should opt for non- ABS version of the bike.

Adding to the question, will the ABS require frequent maintenance? (considering riding through rain, dust, mud etc.) I've heard if something happens to ABS, you'll have to replace entire system, which in case of honda is around 25k...any thoughts?

Any disc brake irrespective of ABS or Non-ABS requires it's own maintenance for it's work way thru bliss. Just that the ABS version having wheel speed sensore have to be taken care a little further more like keeping the sensors clean & the without any damage. If at all someone meets up with a crash & take their ABS wheel into two halves, there will still be part numbers for the damaged parts alone & one need not replace it fully.

You can't. At the time of booking my bike i was unsure if i should book it on my name or my firm's name (for financing purpose). The dude told me that "u can change the booking name later but you will have to provide a proof that it's your company."
So i think it's unlikely that they'll allow you to transfer the booking to someone else's name.. Still you can give it a shot.. contact the showroom person..
