Woah! I took couple of days leave and came home in Kerala and CBR arrives in B'lore!
Can someone confirm about the bike in Bangalore?? You guys won't allow me to take leave and stay at home peacefully for some days, huh.

No my friend, aluminum 2 par frame is the reason you think r15 and CBR150R are track tool and CBR250R is not...Originally posted by shivaprasad.ms View PostI presume the CBR150R, like R15, is a real track tool. The CBR250R is not really a bigger CBR150R but it is some "power commuter" "road bike". CBR150R belongs to the family of its elders such as CBR600RR and CBR1000RR. But the CBR250R belongs nowhere - neither to the racing family of the CBR's nor is a little VFR, and so have I called it "better Karizma".
some of the thai guys who tested CBR150 and CBR250 felt CBR is better handling and liter when you ride.
even in Motogp ducati desmosedici uses similar frame as CBR250R

This type of frame is used just to make sure the Frame is strong and will not allow angle variation.. but in the end all that maters is geometry for handling.
sorry don't want to get a warning.. i cannot do a simple explanation for this.. its how the alumuniam alloy behaves. they don't allow the beam to bend a come back to its position and it will brake if that happens, but the steel frame gives the flexibility. which is a new technology.. in CBR they are not using the same steel frame what you see on our old bikes.
here is a link which will explain it for you.

And of you want to race with CBR then as i said earlier.. use powercomander http://www.powercommander.com/powerc...PartNum=16-024and how it works http://www.twobros.com/Perf_Products...rCommander.htm

Thanks for your explanation in "safe" limit. You got me right but partially. It is the "beam type" twin spar frame used in R15 (made of steel) and in CBR150R (am not sure what is it made of) that makes me feel they are racing bikes. Also, I have read in some reviews of the 250 that "the frame used is steel tube twin spar unlike the modern day beam type twin spar". So, that made me think of the CBR's tube frame outdated and R15/CBR150R's frame more contemporary and made them racing bikes.Originally posted by saikamaldoss View PostNo my friend, aluminum 2 par frame is the reason you think r15 and CBR150R are track tool and CBR250R is not...

Ya lot of people think the same, it happens. and yamaha R15 uses a Deltabox frame aluminum alloy like in CBR150R and that's y they are so lite.Originally posted by shivaprasad.ms View PostThanks for your explanation in "safe" limit. Well said!!! What's in the name? After all, its the ride & the promise of what the ride can deliver matters.Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostIf Hero Honda, the stickers company, has the guts to put a R after Karizma [Karizma R] then calling this CBR is not a big deal

You are right the beam type frame used in the R15 is the latest and better one, the CBR250 uses the traditional tubular steel frame to keep the costs down. See finally what matters is how the bike performs on road, it might not be as sharp as the R15, but it will definitely make up for that deficit in other departments.Originally posted by shivaprasad.ms View PostThanks for your explanation in "safe" limit. I am eagerly waiting to check the headlight beam spread of the CBR, I have read very good comments on it, one review says surprisingly very bright and they had to get the bulb out to check that it is the same H4 bulb.

FYI... Ninja 250 also uses tube frame.Originally posted by shivaprasad.ms View PostThanks for your explanation in "safe" limit. You got me right but partially. Yes, I am also interested in this topic can someone point out a few methods online or already on xbhp. Also someone had earlier mentioned, He will be doing it the Motoman way. Has anyone tried this earlier?Originally posted by jerk View PostSince all of us would be getting the bike soon, I guess its about time we had a discussion on how to break-in (run-in) the engine for best performance. Waiting to hear opinions....

Exclusive pictures..
This is a first of the many to come as I promised. Good ol' worrisome's in London and chanced upon the baby blade. Heres some first snaps. Initial first look report is skipped as he fell in love with the Hornets
This part will infuriate folks who have booked it. There, you just pay some 10-20% of the amount, you get the bike in 4 days flat! If you want to loan it out, then no interest charged! Damn!! And to add to it Honda delivers your bike EVERY Tuesday
Take that.
Enjoy!

More high res snaps to come...stay tuned!"Never recreate from your memory, always imagine new places"
