Man o man.. I'll be in trouble if I get stopped by the MV dept guys..Originally posted by dpak89 View Post
I think they do. I had a friend in college who used to repaint his RX often. Its he who told me that you just have to get it entered in the reg certificate. Never done that personallyOriginally posted by dpak89 View Post

Yes I have, my friend got the color of his Pulsar changed from Silver to Black.Originally posted by dpak89 View Postoh ?? does RTO's accept change of colour?? have you witnessed such case??
We have to inform the RTO about the color change. Major changes in a bike has to be intimated to the RTO and needs to be endorsed in the RC book.

Apologies
[QUOTE=ajaymanohar;609768]Thank you for that info. Hope you get a bike of your choice. Might I ask you humbly not to compare this bike with rest of the lot? There are always enough points to counter every comparision.
Vary good, I don't wanna race with CBR.
To all those who despise CBR, well get out of this thread!!! Its a thread about CBR, you dont like it, what are you doing here then mate?
Ya, so I am a poser in your eyes. I like fully faired bikes with fat rear tyres. Am I asking you to buy it for me? This is my opinion to go ahead and own this baby. Ninja should actually not cost 3L(3.2L in Bangalore), but hey you still buy it. Did I come and tell you to invest it wisely in Stocks or in a 650? R15 has skinny tires, and if my knowledge is appropriate, its a Chinese Vixion with fairing. But did I come in an R15 thread and tell how ugly it looks from the back?
I am sorry, I was not born with a Silver Spoon or I dont earn big bucks like you to buy Ninja. All bikes are good in their own niche world.
Within two days I see so much against the CBR. Some are thinking of not buying because its not that great in handling/riding/mileage. Damn, tell me this if you have even testridden the bike to come to a conclusion. Yes Karzima was the bike that changed the biking scenario, but who asked your comparision?
Back to the thread, guys any update?
I saw the video posted by ASIF AHMED, man the bike looks alienish.
Too good.
Bangalore mein kab ayega re display model. Yesterday I passed by the Honda showroom, only to see if any model has come or not. Idiots have not even put a poster.
This wait is killing me.
Another thing, I thing someone had initiated the run-in topic. Can we bring it back, it died down in this fiery comparision I think.
Is it good to follow the run-in period as per manual or Belt it once in a while?
Check this out...
Ever heard of getting the service manual before getting the bike?
That too in THAI?
Till the time I reply lot of water has already gone under the bridge.
Guys, I had no intention to hurt anybody's sentiments..nor did I want to take away this thread to different tangent. All my opinions are purely personal..
The reason I've written on this thread because I had already booked this CBR on 4th January 2011 So I'm one of you. And was eagerly waiting for the test ride / delivery.
But after doing a lot of research and reading reviews. I finally realised that this bike won't be able to fulfill my thirst for power and insane adrenalin rush that I'm looking for. And as said earlier I shared my desire with you guys.
I know each and every person who put so much time on this website are die hard bike fans... I liked that many of you guys took part in criticism with unity. That's the indication of pure passion and love for their bike.. Truly admire you guys..
Keep posting your reviews..
Ride safe..
And Keep riding...

^^^ is what is confusing Dpak. Its either yes or no. AFAIK, there's nothing like patch of original color etc. Then that will be a question of subjective. I can have a patch but in the rear fenner, someone on tank, someone on shield.Originally posted by dpak89 View Postprovided we have a patch of original colour in our bike somewhere !!
It is ILLEGAL for sure. If you happen to see them & if you're entitled to question & if you're not, then you're evading your job or don't know how to make ILLEGAL moneyOriginally posted by shivaprasad.ms View PostBut we see every day a lot of modified and repainted vehicles. Had it been illegal, how would we spot so many cases? Is modification of so much concern as you have?
Exactly my pointOriginally posted by lijok View PostBut I think you can change the color as long as you get it updated in the RC. Isnt it?
We've gone too much OT sigh!!! Back to C250R pls...Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Whats up with Mr Prasanna

Ah, so when should I cross 160 kmph? I was planning to take it to NICE road in Bangalore in the first week itself :POriginally posted by xxbomb View Post^most modern bikes dont need a rigid break-in... ride it like you usually do for couple of hundred kms....just make sure u dont stick to a particular rpm band & things should be good. .

Originally posted by VD17 View PostWell, the theory I understand the best is taking it easy for the first few hundred kilometres followed by a controlled exposure to stress. The first 200-300kms need to be easy on the engine so that the piston rings seat properly and the most ragged metal edges get rounded off gradually. After that, it is necessary to induce some gradual stress so the engine and its components are exposed to the proper thermal cycles.
These bikes (CBRs, Ninjas) are definitely made of sterner stuff than the range that we have. They are much better at handling stress even when new. So a dynamic run-in should actually be the best for these bikes. But for most Indian bikes, its best to play it safe for the first 750kms or so.Woah! You have to tell me where to get that from and how much that would cost! Brilliant stuff! I really do not care if its legal or not, I need to get that DONE!!!Originally posted by firen View PostThis is what my Bike would look like after the warranty period expires
Know the Unknown- CBR250R STD Black

Here are some pictures from Thailand. Got a pals black here. Hes the one from the cbr forums. Upon asking him about the vibes at high speeds, he clearly stated that the buzz is still felt( albeit way better than any other bike right), but the good part is its rock solid at high speeds, and the brakes are outstanding. Thats pretty much
Notice the black exhaust shield there.
Enjoy!

Hi all,
Good news. Display bikes have reached the showroom in delhi. I had taken a day off today and generally just called the dealer to check on the status. He said they have got two display bikes (red, STD and ABS) a few hours ago and if I want, I can see them. I was at the showroom in no time and voila, there they were in flesh and blood. Absolutely droolworthy stuff. I must say, all the speculation about size etc be put to rest. This one from Honda is HOT!!!!!. clicked it from all angles, will be uploading pics in just a bit. No test rides as yet. Good news is, mine is the first booking at the dealership and I get the keys to my wheels by early next week. Can't wait. And yes, after a long time, I feel like a kid again. Now I need to find my blackberry data cable to download the pics.
cheers, Sid

Need help. My BB clicks pics using a 5 MP camera. Each jpeg pic is about 1.7 MB. Tried zipping/WinRAR but no such luck. Quick cues from anyone on how do I meet the upload limit on XBHP for Jpegs or any other format?Originally posted by sid1509 View PostHi all,
