Guys..Any news from Bangalore? Sapphire, Haiku etc etc... Have the display bikes arrived?

1- No one has test driven here yet(except one maybe who actually liked it).
2- You have not even seen in flesh.

This is directed to all you people who are trying to hijack a perfectly good thread with your lame cribbing and hypocritical talks abt CBR250r and comparing it to r15 or ninja.

If you really need to do this then start a so called 'VS' thread and keep posting until somone with no other useful job to do gets in and replies to your pathetic posts.

There are people here who have other work and life who visit this forum due to its good reputation to get some information on a bike they have booked.

If you feel offended by this then most propably you deserve it so i advise you to take this on a positve note and post some useful posts rather than some more lame comparisons with R15 and ninja..atleast until the bike is test driven...

I will not apologise for the above post since i am sure many would agree that it reflects their thoughts as well..

And why I call R15 a track tool, is because it has been sicne its launch, tested and proved to be one. While the CBR too has been tested on tracks (though not in India and does not matter because it is the same bike to come here) and has been found to be not a "point and shoot" motorcycle. This is where it has lost to Ninja and IMO it would lose out to the already proven R15 on track in the handling department.

Ya, so I am a poser in your eyes. I like fully faired bikes with fat rear tyres. Am I asking you to buy it for me? This is my opinion to go ahead and own this baby. Ninja should actually not cost 3L(3.2L in Bangalore), but hey you still buy it. Did I come and tell you to invest it wisely in Stocks or in a 650? R15 has skinny tires, and if my knowledge is appropriate, its a Chinese Vixion with fairing. But did I come in an R15 thread and tell how ugly it looks from the back?
I am sorry, I was not born with a Silver Spoon or I dont earn big bucks like you to buy Ninja. All bikes are good in their own niche world.
Within two days I see so much against the CBR. Some are thinking of not buying because its not that great in handling/riding/mileage. Damn, tell me this if you have even testridden the bike to come to a conclusion. Yes Karzima was the bike that changed the biking scenario, but who asked your comparision?

Back to the thread, guys any update?
I saw the video posted by ASIF AHMED, man the bike looks alienish.

Bangalore mein kab ayega re display model. Yesterday I passed by the Honda showroom, only to see if any model has come or not. Idiots have not even put a poster.
This wait is killing me.
Another thing, I thing someone had initiated the run-in topic. Can we bring it back, it died down in this fiery comparision I think.
Is it good to follow the run-in period as per manual or Belt it once in a while?

^most modern bikes dont need a rigid break-in... ride it like you usually do for couple of hundred kms....just make sure u dont stick to a particular rpm band & things should be good. .

exactly!! each vehicle is different in its own scenario!! comparison is wise only when done before buying or when you are in dilemma like "which bike to buy?

" ...so you guys pls post your views in "which bike to buy?" thread coz this thread is all about guys who have already booked CBR and guys who have decided to buy it!!

Saphire Honda is expecting the 1st lot around 18th or 19th including the display bike. Still have no idea how many are coming in the 1st lot..

The problem with comparison is that we are comparing two machines out of which one of them is not even there in the market and\or tried and actually tortured to be known enough about! (Phew! long sentence)

Well, the theory I understand the best is taking it easy for the first few hundred kilometres followed by a controlled exposure to stress. The first 200-300kms need to be easy on the engine so that the piston rings seat properly and the most ragged metal edges get rounded off gradually. After that, it is necessary to induce some gradual stress so the engine and its components are exposed to the proper thermal cycles.

These bikes (CBRs, Ninjas) are definitely made of sterner stuff than the range that we have. They are much better at handling stress even when new. So a dynamic run-in should actually be the best for these bikes. But for most Indian bikes, its best to play it safe for the first 750kms or so.
