Wouldnt the colour have to be endorsed in the RC.. and would the RTO do this without taking bribes?? is the question..

according to law(sec 52 of MVA) there is no separate clause saying/allowing change of colour!! neither it can be changed nor the change of colour can be questioned (provided if you have a small patch of original colour somewhere!) ...law only allows you to change anything "structurally" ...it does not bother about cosmetics since it was grafted in 1988

Kandivali shop owner told me that i will get to test ride on 16th april.

I am joining this thread late so i thought of sharing a little info which i have.

Loved the mod on the headlights in this one, gives a bike menacing look.

                  Sure Dpak

Here's the clause - Section 52- Motor Vehicles Act 1988

And it clearly says..."No owner of a motor vehicle shall so alter the vehicle that the particulars contained in the certificate of registration are at variance with those originally specified by the manufacturer"

The point is that, RC book bears the color of the vehicle & according to above, its not legal to change. Am I assuming something otherwise?
Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle
Awareness + Skill is what keeps you out of harm's way
ATGATT + Awareness + Skill means you might Live To Ride another day

But we see every day a lot of modified and repainted vehicles. Had it been illegal, how would we spot so many cases? Is modification of so much concern as you have?

according to law!!! alteration structurally which includes change of silencer etc has to be included in ALTERATION section in RC book...any change without registering in RC book is of course illegal!!

But I think you can change the color as long as you get it updated in the RC. Isnt it?

Why? I am curious to know this
                                Presently I stick to 4K @ 40kmph on 4th gear

Parents and someone special dont allow me to go above that but some say a 150CC bike must travel @ 50kmph to get a good mileage. I get around 45-50 kmpl.

                                Sorry for OT.

                                Back to topic,

So for CBR we should rev it below 6K till 1K KMS ?
