Heartiest congratulations to everyone who has gotten his bike. Ride safely, ride sensibly, and stay safe. Cheers!
Thanks ThisPointer! I've booked my CBR from Rohan Honda too. Pashankar in Pune seems to be a little shady. I'd been to their office today, and my number in the list is now 20. First it's 14, then 31 and now 20. It's supposedly the updated list. According to Rohan Honda and Pashankar, the bikes will be delivered in lots of 4, and there's no saying how long it would take before the bike of choice would be delivered. Meaning - if all black CBRs are delivered by HMSI in the first few lots - then it's too bad for the folks who've booked Reds and so on. Doesn't make sense, but maybe there's something that I'm missing here. So, I wouldn't comment on their logistical processes. However, I would like to comment on the wait. It stinks.
I've sent over a few mails to the HMSI folks from their website. No response as yet - guess it's too much to ask of them to give me an update on when my bike would be delivered.Last edited by cranky; 05-01-2011, 02:33 AM.

Congratulations to Cranky and The Stig for their new steeds!
@ The Stig: Those pics were really wonderful with the riding gears.
Seems like CBR 250 has already gathered a huge fan following among Xbhp.
@Roguerider: I agree to your point upto a certain extent. After riding it, I felt that it shouldn't be named as CBR because of the smoothness in riding. Instead, it can be a VFR 250; which will justify it's looks and it's tourer's delight engine revving as well.Last edited by MJ1984; 05-01-2011, 04:25 AM.

Took a test ride of the CBR 250 in Nawab Honda, Gurgaon.
All those who want to book the bike in Gurgaon, i would suggest Nawab Honda since they have only 18 bookings. On top of that, they have already delivered two bikes and have one for test rides, readily available - even if one has not booked the bike. No airs like Ganpati Auto who are extremely poor in customer care.
A few things were critical for me.
a. Whether the saddle bags will fit properly.
b. Tank bag ?
One area of concern was the poorly attached side panels which don't give much confidence that they can take the load. Even tank bag might not fit properly. Another gripe i have is the loosely coupled fuel tank lid. Not expected when i am putting down 1.5 lakhs.
My short riding experience:
The bike pulls cleanly and has a very linear torque curve. So it isn't exactly a rush in the head if you are used to a zma/220(my case) Riding position for my height (5 8") was sportier compared to the 220 though not sure if this will be a good thing on long rides. Handling is nice and inspires confidence. The C-ABS braking is amazing and almost dumbs down the art of progressive braking. The light clutch does need some work at low speeds but can be managed. The engine note is a slightly gruffer version of the zma. I prefer the throaty note of the Fi kicking in the 220 more :-D
Overall, does it fit my bill of a reliable Leh ready tourer.. ummm somewhat.
Is it a worthy upgrade for a 220 owner--- I would say, if you are not going in for the 6xx cc bikes coming in, are not impressed/cannot afford the Ninja 250 and need a change from the 220, this is totally worth it.

Are u sure both the red ones are ABS. Initially when the bikes landed they had kept the red abs one for display. Now they have moved the red abs to yard and kept the non abs red for display. So i thought we have only abs model. Whatz ur number in the line?Originally posted by johnjojo08 View PostNo idea about delivery. Two red ones are ABS. Not properly checked the black ones..
