ABS vs Non-ABS - Visual Differences

Hi, I guess most of us know the difference between ABS & Non-ABS.
Just thought of sharing some knowledge of "visual differences" i noticed.

That extra ring is the speed sensor ring which sends feedback to the ABS system.

Nonetheless, after reading your post, i called up the main manager who handles all bookings for CBR. He said that the news is untrue. He just has 6 bikes as of now and that if i wanted i could go and check in the basement where the bikes are kept.
So if u saw those 21 bikes, it is believable. If those helpers told u that the bikes were CBRs, don't believe them. I will be going to the showroom and check it out today.. will update once i'm back.

dude i saw em inside the trailer......cmon man its a CBR and not some dio or activa that cant be recognized!!!!!

wrong dude! in laxmi honda madurai there are two black cbr's and one of them is ABS! i hav first booking there! but am waiting for red abs !

Dude Om sai honda has got the maximum no. of bikes among all dealers in mumbai 20 of them to be precise and this figure was confirmed to me by honda rep itself in their manesar factory when i had called them today. These honda dealers in mumbai are very much use to selling the customers bikes to brokers for a premium so just beware about it and bug them everyday for your bike

btw i had posted in this thread about the CBR i had spotted at a brokers shop in my area among those bikes the black one was a ABS model

Sir, I did not doubt your vision. I just wanted to know if you had seen the bikes or were u just relying on what the helpers told you.
Nonetheless, in that case, i shall check the bikes in the showroom today.

Yes....the trailer had two floors the both of em were flooded with CBR's...upper half deck was filled with activas behind side!!!!

All you can do is wait till they call you up!!!!

Just now called my dealer (hasan honda, pondycherry) He said they are yet to recieve the bike

. The good news he gave me is I am 3rd in the list and 2nd for the black

though i booked after 7 or 8 bookings. So I am sure i'll get it in 1st lot

There is also another big difference you can find Non ABS version has 2 piston caliper and ABS version has a 3 piston caliper in which 2 pistons function are actuated by the front brake lever and the 3rd piston is used along with the rear brake. Hence when ever you apply the rear brake front brake also works to stop which is why the name Combined ABS

Guys, any idea bout the deliveries or test rides in bangalore?
i called up the dream honda guys today to get some info about the bike... but as usual they were blank.... then i asked them if i cud speak to their manager but they said he was not in the showroom...
i then asked for the manager's cell number, n called the manager, one Mr. Sundar. Asked him about the deliveries n test rides to which he replied "Sir 2 bikes have arrived, One Red & One silver (ABS), they are still in the truck, if u want u can come n have a look". About the tst rides, he said it wud be given only by next week mid since they don'thv the RTO clearance yet.

Regarding deliveries, he said he would get the dispatch schedule from Honda by monday & he would call me back to inform about the no. of bikes delivered in a lot... I hope he keeps his word.

If anyone else has any info, please update....

this is turning out to be an everlasting wait.....
