The person who asked for the pic was a bit over demanding, but at the same time someone should not reply rudely on that, that too on behalf of everyone, better just ignore if you dont want to provide.

thats what my post meant which is now deleted happily.

Hey guyz John from Hyderabad...putting on some pics of my ride. One interesting thing i wanted to point out or ask other owners of CBR's from other state was that if they had the mechanic guy visit ur home after few days of delivery done as this has happend in hyderabad to all the bikes they delivered. The guy checked the oil level, coolent and also completely removed the gear lever and readjusted it to my comfort.

I seem to have arrived late on the scene. Went and booked a CBR for myself yesterday, Silver STD at Saphire Honda, JP Nagar, Bangalore. Since they claim I'm 81st in the list () i will only be getting the delivery by 10th Aug. By which time i'm probably going to lose interest in the motorcycle.

I've been assured i'll get back my entire booking amount if i choose to cancel my booking, so i saw no harm in paying up and queuing up for the test rides, which should be beginning this week.

Won't comment on the looks, thats entirely subjective and i'm not really a fan of brickbats. Until the test ride, no comments on anything else as well. No point in talking about how a shoe might fit before actually trying them on.

          Just as well.

          And the wait begins ...
          Congrats... Welcome to the wait...
          Ride with you soon man...

Good pics there! Congrats on the CBR...
And Wow! VIP treatment for the CBR owners in HYD! That's something nice and interesting. Just like how Garware-Hyosung has planned for Mobile Service Centres.

Some post before I had read about some engine oil leakage problems in a new bike which was due for delivery. May be they wanted to keep a watch on that. Why should somebody come and check the Engine Oil for a brand new bike after delivery.

what kind of break-in u going for? motoman or traditional one!
i prefer to keep it below 6000 rpm for my bike before doing around 1000 kms! so buddy dont be in a hurry! let the CBR take its own time! see that u clock atleast 1k rpm for ur bike to break-in!
am not an expert am just a juvenile! any way will looking forward for suggestions from experts!!!!!
I am keeping it below 5k rpm for abt 100kms should start increasing the rpm as the kms stack up, planning on completing the break-in procedure with 3-400kms. Its a mix of motoman and traditional method.

Honestly speaking for a bike like the CBR you dont really need to do a long break-in as the engine is built using space age technology with utter precision and so are most of the modern day engines. I had started ripping my Ninja somewhere after 2200kms whereas most of my Ninja buddies did it before completing 500kms. Now they are all running absolutely fine, No vibes, No excessive oil consumption, No lack of power they are at par with my Ninja having done almost no break-in.

So it really doesnt matter how you do your break-in these engines will easily last a life time is properly looked after. I myself am doing the break-in only to ensure the proper bedding of the tires and the brakes and myself to get the hang of the bike before touching high speeds on it.

                    Hey john,
congrats on getting the CBR looks amazing in red. Make sure you get yourself some basic riding gear and a good lid.

There is no such special treatment to us CBR owners in Mumbai, I myself am finding the gear lever VERY high, could you please explain how they adjusted it.

                      • Finally Booked the baby CBR!!!

                        Hi guys

After a very long wait, following this thread since it started and keeping an eye on Honda right after they announced for an above 200cc motorcycle in the range of Karizma, finally booked one for myself.

First info i got about this bike way back in July 2010 was it will be launched in 2011, 2nd quarter. Then slowly the news atarted coming its a 250cc.. Then on you all know what happened.

After lot of things going around in all other cities about CBR's launch and delivery, i was not able to get Kolkata's status from here. So finally went to TODI Honda one of the two showrooms here in Kolkata day before yesterday,(I was out of town for last couple of weeks) and was completely shocked and felt something that cannot be expressed by words to see the CBR's in flesh. (I love those fat a** baby ) The showroom was almost closed except a guy (manager) who was doing a delivery of a bike. Inquired about the bike and he said why don't you come over tomorrow to take a test ride. Went yesterday (usually the showroom is closed on Sundays but luckily it was open) to have a test ride and immediately booked the standard model Ruby Red.

The sales guy said that my bike's delivery will take 1 to 1.5 months i.e., around 1st or 2nd week of June. I'm the 130th booking. (I know its not that long when compared to many out here who booked in Jan). I tried hard to tell him that he will deliver mine before 1 month but then he said one thing which mad me shut my mouth " Sir I am asking you to wait only for 1.5 months and there are people waiting for 4 or more months".

The manager whom i met on Saturday told :
6 bikes received in first lot out of that 2 is already delivered, 2 will be delivered soon and 2 for test rides. 12 in transit (2nd lot) and from 3rd lot they will receive in 30 or more numbers.

My opinion after a short test ride:

Just wanted to tell my opinions. ( I know there is a lakh of these already out there)
Had a very short test ride as the actual test ride bike was out for some testing and they gave me one that is to be delivered to someone.

                        Bike: Silver C-ABS model.

                        1. Handling was so good that within 100-200 meters got used with the bike. The bike has a big bike feel but a very easy to handle.

                        2. Felt suspension was good enough for Indian roads.

Rest others is same which is been and being discussed all over.
Everybody dies.. But, not everybody really live!!

                            YouTube - CBR250R bizumo exhaust (www.cbr250.org)

Any suggestions from where i can get nice quality exhausts in jaipur for bike?
