    God Point..
However the reason i had asked was because there are some products out there that falsify information and make them real needed products even though they are not.. and as i said am new to riding big bikes so not really aware of ABS other than the fact it prevents tire locking ..

My 1st Post here!.. Well anyway i am planning to book one this week.. But i have some questions before that.

1- I learnt to ride bike in a pulsar 150( the one with all up or down gear).. I find it difficult to ride bikes with 1 down and rest up gear shift.. How easy is it to adapt to this gear shifting?(I sometimes ride my friends TVS RTR 160.. Very bad gear shifting and vibration and do not want to end up owning such a kind of bike, though am sure this bike is world apart to TVS or Pulsar).

2- Should i go for ABS version or non-ABS version.. since i have never faced front tire lock in the past in my pulsar. Is it really nercessary, am new to riding big bikes so kindly let me know, I do not mind spending for it if it is worth the money spent.

3- I saw(not 100% sure) that honda is offering the Mugen mod as an official mod in thailand, will this be available in india too..?

4- Will the price of ninja 250r come down any time this year ?

5- Finally, Which Dealer should i book it from in Bangalore.. I live in BTM 2nd Stage.

      TIA
      Welcome to xBhp!

1 - It shouldn't be a problem, its just about getting used to it. Moreover, now a days, I guess most of the bikes are coming with 1Down-4/5Up gear shifting pattern.

2 - ABS is definitely better than Non-ABS. But then, it's a personal choice. I've opted for Non-ABS.

3 - Bike is not yet launched in India. You'll only know about it (availability of Mugen mod) once the bike is here.

      4 - No Idea.

5 - I too stay in BTM 2nd Stage. I've booked from Sapphire Honda, JP Nagar. I've had no previous experiences with Honda dealers, so I can't tell you which is the best.

      • Thanks Sudeep.

BTW, Is the Pre-booking charge same for both ABS and non- ABS versions? i.e is it same 5k for both?

You are right, there are many bogus products. Anyway, I don't think a well established and reputed company like Honda will risk their reputation by making false claims. Exaggerate, maybe, but not false claim. I personally have not tested the brakes obviously, except read couple of reviews that speaks well of the ABS. So I have no reason to believe otherwise.

Btw, I wouldn't consider CBR 250 a big bike, nevertheless, ABS is ideal for riders ranging from novice to experts, except some very elite riders that know and likes to be in total control. It not only prevents locking, it actually shortens the braking distance in dry and especially effective in wet condition.

Booking amount is same (5k) for both.

                        • Who saw it in flesh?
I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

Thanks for the Welcome! But this welcome is in what sense?

BTW, I read on this thread that some expert bikers dont think CBR 250R is all that happening bike, especially from technical point of view. Something about inline cylinders and all.

Can someone elaborate this stuff for morals like me?

                              • ^^^ Welcome in every sense!!
Well, CBR250R is a very good and exceptional bike (acc to me).. but if and only if we know what to,and how much to except from it.. Most of the reviews say the same..
As in India, where we the common bikers had only around 220cc machines to play around with, we are getting a increase in power, newer technology, expected good quality @ really an affordable price.. plus a pride of owning a World Model bike.. .. if all that justifies for it being a good bike, its a great bike.. Ofcourse no1 here had a test ride till now but all on the basis of reviews and videos..
