Well about patience, yes I need to be patient. After all, 8 months of wait is still big. They are taking it to the limit anyhow. Waiting for updates...

Prasanna in Haiku Honda is a better representative, he says Sir, take a test ride first and then go ahead with the rest of the formalities after you like.
Wowowow Lucky you man.. So he is actually gonna give you a test ride before paying? Do post reviews.

I've got my friend's FZ now! He has gone abroad for few month and left his bike at my home.

I've been waiting for my CBR since the news of it came way back it 2010. And now I've saved up enough to pay full cash and get it. Just waiting for the bike to hit Bangalore roads.

            • Spoke to Sapphire Honda again.
First lot will be reaching only around 17-18th. It was dispatched on 10th. And deliveries will start after 2 days. i.e. around 20th. And they are getting only 6-7 bikes in the first lot (A mix of both Std and ABS).
Second lot would be dispatched from Gurgaon in 2-3 days and it will be here before the month end. I'm the 13th person in the booking list. He promised me that I would be getting it before the month end.
I hope No.13 doesn't prove be an unlucky number for me. (I had met with an accident last year on Friday, the 13th August)

              • went to the malad showroom on saturday and saw the display bike.. looked good.. build quality was okay and looked like the bike was hurriedly put together. also found a broken piece of plastic on the handle bar connector to the cone.. had a cam but did not care to take any pictures because of the pathetic behavior of the staff. they were behaving as if they are doing us a favor by giving info about the bike.... "is showroom me already 350 bookings ho chuki hai.. aapka number uski delivery k baad ayega.. and vo kab ayega vo pata nahi...", he also said to a guy pointing to the brochure k "specifications is leaflet pe likhi hai dekh lijiye.." i felt wtf...

                  • I have also booked in Hasan Honda in pondicherry.
So currently i have 2 bookings done, one in bangalore and one in pondicherry. 30K difference for a 8 hour drive is too much to pass by

                      • Another false promise! Last week, I was told that the demo bike will be in Pune today (Pashankar Honda). Called them up in the morning and they said that the first consignment is going to arrive from Thailand(!?)... It was expected to arrive in the morning today but got delayed due to some reason.. They are still expecting the bike any moment now.. Deliveries in Pune will start only by the last week of April.
He also told me that mostly the first few lots will be of bikes manufactured in Thailand. Don't know how credible this information is though...
                        [...and the wait continues...]

There's a general news prevailing that HMSI is unable to start the production of C250R within the stipulated time in India.

It does make business sense to import for 2 reasons...

Exactly.. That's what i told him.. He was like, "we've been told by the company that the first few lots will be from Thailand"... IMO, the demo bike might be from Thailand, but the bikes that will hit the road will be India made...

But according to the videos posted, the production has started in India for more than a month now.
But then, they might think of importing if they're behind schedule... Which most probably seems to be the case...

Why on the hell did I ever think of Sapphire Honda? They did mention about consignment being delayed to 10th, when the dispatch of bikes was delayed by 4 days. But why delay in delivery? Also they have already got the RTO Approval. I just dont get the idea of making customer wait like this. But cant blame them, blame Honda.

They have this idea that they will get a lot of customers with this attitude. They are losing future business, thats all.

I was of this idea that first few lots will have Made in Thailand. But that was wrong. However, now I am skeptic about the quality since Honda might have hurried in making the deliveries. I hope they have not compromised a lot on quality.
