On second thoughts, maintenance is also a problem for two bikes together. No one else thinking along these lines....? Because come what may, there will be far too many cbr's on road in a couple of months, but it will number far less than R15's and far more than Ninja's.
    Hey Ajay,

Are you buying it in Kerala or Bangalore?
It 13k lesser in Palakkad, Kerala.

            • That's really sad. Got to keep waiting again. Let us hope they give in a good number of bikes in the 1st lot. I really wish they had the full black.

I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

                  • It is 4 bhp more than pulsar 220
pulsar gives average around 37km/l, you can expect 30km/l from cbr, & top end of cbr may be around 150-155 km/hr.

                          • This observation is probably going to tick off a lot of people, but if you see the list of people who have booked the cbr in the spreadsheet, only 4/34 have 200+ cc bikes (1 R15 (200+cc like perf) and 3 ZMA). I am ofcourse ignoring guys who own bigger bikes (intruder , ninja etc) as the CBR is a small bike for them

I am a p220 owner and was dead set on the CBR+ABS, both for the facts that it is a Honda and that it has ABS. One of my motivation is now gone (TVS RTR 180 ABS). So i am waiting to see if i get more motivation (build quality of CBR in india is found to be awesome, A.S.S is good etc or if TVS ABS turns out to be unreliable )... to decide between RTR and Honda ...in the meantime i hope TVS/Bajaj/HH will launch a 200+cc bike with ABS soon to increase the competetion. As long as it is ABS, i am satisfied. It doesnt have to be the more complex C-ABS because most reasonably experienced riders never use just one brake anyway, atleast i never do.

No offence to all others who have already booked one. Also, please don't bother with responses like TVS/HH/Bajaj will never match Honda. That's fine. If it costs 50% as much (ratio of p220 to CBR prices approx) and is reasonably good, i' ll be happy. And whatever happens, we need to applaud Honda for taking the move of bringing such quality feature laden bikes to India at such price points. Its a win/win for the consumer irrespective of whether or not they buy a Honda as even other companies now need to improve quality to stay in the game.

                            To each his own !

Simple. There are probably a lot of ZMA/p220/R15 owners out there considering the CBR. I am one of them and made an observation as well as expressing my views about it.
People who have already decided to buy or decided never to buy can ignore this discussion. Its only for the cats on the wall!
