Do you have any information about the delivery?

    What is your booking number?

    Thanks.
Sorry Vijay, I do not remember my number. I booked around 10:30 A.M on Jan 1st and I learnt that they had unofficially taken booking on 31st Dec too...
About the delivery, I last called them last week, and was told that they had no information at all and would call me may be in the last week of March. I am irked by the same answer I get on every attempt x-(

Nice bike. I am no expert in the technical aspects of a motorcycle but for me it looked good. The front number plate is, well.. We checked the welding on the main frame inside the front fairing and the work wasn't that good. Most members agreed to it. Rear tyre looks awesome and so does the tyre hugger. Console is pretty neat without any complications and exposed metal parts like the R15. Bike sure gives the big bike feel. Fairing at some places was creaking. The rear tail-lamp section was a bit loose. Well that's about it. I'll let the experts speak. Single horn(so it may be weak).
Colour is pinkish in the picture? Could you please describe what colour it is actually?

      • Yea, I am curious too...is it the color of red fz16?

        Honda CBR250 ABS (2011 -
        )

            Thanks man...

Just called the sales rep again today to ask if a demo bike had reached Pune. He told me that the bike will only be available after 10th of April. Which plainly sucks! I told him that many showrooms in Mumbai have already received their demo bikes, so a demo bike for Pune should be on its way or something. He just said that, "sir, we don't have any news from the company."
He confirmed that the on road price for Pune for std variant will be ~1.59L.
On asking about the financing options available, he told me that they were still working on that and, again, details are not available. Apparently, they would themselves contact me for a test ride once the bike arrives (which frankly seems very unlikely to me).
There is vagueness in all responses that i receive. Just a basic difference between buying a car and buying a bike i think... Car dealers make u feel wanted. Bike dealers make you feel like a stalker! Or again, is it just me?

                  Dear Mr. DOCTOR,
Thank you for being opinionated. But let me enlighten you - 2 calls in a week - for the purpose of acquiring information - do not qualify as stalking. What my point was that i was promised delivery (at the time of booking) by the second week of April. It is natural that out of curiosity and excitement, one will look forward to have a look and feel of the bike in flesh, especially when other (neighbouring) cities have already started getting it. If for that purpose, i contact the dealer, how will it be stalking? Kindly elaborate (via PM).

                  Cheers,
                  ThisPointer

                  FYI:
Stalk - v.To follow or observe persistently, especially out of obsession or derangement.

Chill dude, what he meant was that all of us impatient, since a good quality bike is within reach. And I am sure he did not mean that you are stalking him, rather I think he was being sarcastic, i.e., this is what the salesman/rep might be thinking about you.

If such is the case, I am definitely raping my dealer. (All pun intended).

I'm not annoyed.. just that I didn't appreciate his bluntness and going by what he's said after that, i don't think he meant it in a way that you've explained it in.. Anyway, not a biggie.. I think we shouldn't go more OT now.. The mods might be watching us.. :P

The pillion seems tilted up a bit too much. I intend to tour with my wife on the pillion. I am afraid, she would either be not comfortable on the pillion(all time trying to grip herself on the seat) or she would easily smack against my back everytime I brake
                            Any thoughts on this please?

I dont know about mods, but I do hope God is watching my impatience. Update from Honda dealer in Jayanagar, Bangalore.
The bike will be dispatched from Delhi on 10th April and delivery to customers will start from 20th April.
On service and after sales, he said that the mechanics were trained from Delhi and that the dealer head had been to Bangkok himself. Like that is going to help us.
On finance front, he said that we would be contacted in another 5-6 days wherein we would be told about the price. Like sudeep mentioned, there is an extra amount to be added due to 'VAT' in B'lore bikes starting from April 1.
I have now finally decided to buy a shotgun....
