People who have booked the CBR, please update your details in this form...
This is to know the number of people in xBhp who have booked Honda CBR 250R, which city has the maximum number of bookings, what color most people prefer, what percentage of people are going for Standard and C-ABS versions, their previous rides, etc...Last edited by sudeepnbr; 03-29-2011, 11:22 AM. Hhahahha yes i know, i even checked before typing it, and then i used the logic that its that far away in distance itself. Like, shit its like a million km away. :| But yeah i was hoping no one would catch thatOriginally posted by CountRock View PostLight years is a unit for distance not time

But still, MAY! Thats atrocious! For people waiting since January! And now that I have researched so much on the bike and that it is my wallpaper on every screen that i own, i dont think i can settle for any other bike. :|

Hi guys,
I am from Chandigarh and I have been following xbhp for almost one year now and finally the CBR has made me join the forum as a member and write my first post. I am 30 now and have never owned a bike before. I really wanted to own one in college days buy my parents were quite against bikes (They thought that guys turn into "spoilt brats" as soon as they own a bike
( ). So I had the privilege to enjoy Bajaj Chetak for a long time. Somehow after getting into job I could not get around to own one due to one reason or another. Finally last year after coming back to India from the UK, I decided to buy one. I almost bought Royal Enfield Thunderbird but then heard about a rumor of Honda launching a new bike on Diwali. I assumed that the bike could be bought around Diwali so I was happy to wait for a couple of months, but I found out later that I was wrong. Then for sometime after Diwali I did consider buying a Karizma ZMR or Yamaha R15. R15 was a bit too small for me (I am 6 feet tall) and Karizma ZMR not being liquid cooled did not impress me much. So I decided to wait for CBR and practically I have been waiting for the CBR for almost 8-9 months now.
Anyhow I finally booked the CBR (Red) in Chandigarh in early January and am also waiting desperately like the rest of you for delivery. The sales guy had called me sometime back to inform me that he should be able to deliver the bike to me between 31st March and 03-April. Now this was before the Honda website was updated to say deliveries commence end of April. Anyhow he would call me on the 31st to update me about the status.
Till then wait is on.

Surely do meet up for rides!!!
HH_Hunk, Sudeep: you are doing a commendable job, keep it up. But can we have a final number on the people? And do let me know if we could plan a meet before the deliveries start, so that we get acquainted with everyone.Originally posted by HH_HUNK View PostThanks everyone for updating your details.
I will segregate it city wise and create a mailing list so that if we plan a G2G so all the owners can be informed
Yes the Silver looks quite DULL
EDIT:
Ok I am updating the signature
BTW I filled the form too but saw my details already present so please delete it Sudeep
Hi Vivek, I am buying it in Bangalore. If we buy it in Bangalore, we can ride it anywhere in India. This place has some extra ordinary rules, wherein any bike registered any place other than Bangalore, cannot be ridden without paying full taxes. If u want, we can take up this discussion elsewhere. What about you, where have you booked it from?Originally posted by vivek_k_p View PostHey Ajay,
Are you buying it in Kerala or Bangalore?
It 13k lesser in Palakkad, Kerala.
What what what!!! God save us!!!Originally posted by wolfie View PostHey guys,
On the Honda website it says deliveries commences in the end of April. Has anyone posted this update?

Nice banter in the middle of all this chicmagnet. But I am not sure you can expect that much from this bike. 30kmpl would be the safest bet, considering Indian roads.
Congrats bro, my story is somewhat similar, never rode a bike till I got a job. Now only 1 year into biking, but loving it like there is no tomorrow.Originally posted by FairWorld View PostHi guys,

@All: So any further updates? Is it true, deliveries are going to get further delayed? Has anyone spoken to the dealers? If this is the case, I am going to write a STINKER
mail to Honda. Lets see what they respond.
