Booked it at Sapphire Honda, Jayanagar. I had booked a Black n Silver one. Am planning to make it all black, including the alloys. Are you staying in some flat or something? I suggest you keep your GS150R for a few more months till the CBR becomes a common sight. Where are you held up at in Bangalore?

So i think it's unlikely that they'll allow you to transfer the booking to someone else's name.. Still you can give it a shot.. contact the showroom person..
^tell that its a gift to that person & tell them to stop BSing. Sometimes the play we see just ticks me off..:/

I stay near jalahalli. Its not a flat.
In our house we hardly can park 4 bikes and it's full
Yeah buddy, Am gonna keep my GS150 for sometime after buying it.

What's the quoted price by Sapphire Honda for C-ABS?

Even I am thinking of cloring the alloys to black, any suggestions?

              Hi,

Regarding state change I enquired about a month back and came to know since the road tax and Registration charges goes to state Govt.
If you want to shift a vehicle to a new state legally you have to pay remaining proportionate (15 - years since the purchase of the vehicle) Road tax in the new state

You can claim the remaining proportionate road tax from pervious state (which is practically impossible due to “Babus”)

If you want a new Registration no. (which is practical else cops in new state will keep catching you and you have to show them the road tax receipt every time) you have to pay full registration charges in the new state and get a new registration no. and it’s not refundable from previous state.

It’s the same for all states.

The option to this rule is if you pay the yearly road tax and not one time life time (15 yrs) road tax (as Defense personals do) you can move to the new state and start paying the same in new state.

thanks for the advice! Even i had this doubt! now cleared!!!

                            • My impressions before I bail from here...

Heres my take on the CBR baby, as I happened to see it at the Malad showroom, here in Mumbai.

First up, its big and has a fabulous rear end. Meaty forks and tires complement the front. The plastic quality is well strictly speaking ho-hum, nothing mind blowing in the department. The speedo assembly is well put together. The clip on bars, frankly looked a straight lift from the after market, I should say the ZMR's got much much better quality ones( same applies for the grab rails) and it really shows. The fuel tank is big, I like the way it slopes downwards in the front, good for carrying luggage and thank god its not plastic! Thank you Honda. But, one would easily forget that it just holds 13L! The Pro link is spot on and the tire hugger is well fitted. I see enthusiasts removing it to hold a fatter tire.

What really p***ed me off was the fairing plastics, hurriedly done welding on the frame and just one horn! The layered fairing looks good, but come one! Ones paying close to 2 lacs for this machine. No wonder the bikes available at such a good price, cost cutting was bound to happen. The panels on the right hand side seemed ill-fitted and they had different fit-lines on both sides. Bottom of the tank area was really sad. Even worse for the seat.. The stitching was ripping off from the front and finger-sized gaps along its edges! Whats that for? holding papers?? Think water seepage, this really didn't look good. Upon asking the so called sales persons, the prompt answer was ' ha sir paani neeche se nikal jayega na!' Good, please fit a tap for me Honda, will do good duty during long rides!
This display bike really looked hurriedly put together as there was no evidence of new plastics anywhere, even the mandatory saree guard wasn't there. The tail light plastic panel was usual like any zma, flimsy! The switch quality wasn't good either, nothing rich, felt like Hero Honda.

Rest, I don't understand how all other members who saw the bike a while ago missed all this. And more than this, how could they miss the non-existent service at this shitty showroom. The moment I entered till a good half an hour past, nobody seemed to bother, come ahead and at least politely say how can I help you sir etc. Forget describing the bike, these bozos( mustn't have seen or ridden a bike more than 100cc in their life) didnt know a thing about it. " Isme ABS aisa kuch hai aur kuch nahi pata sir!!" Is this how you are going to sell and even worse, get it serviced here Honda. Sorry, you don't buy me then. I would rather get a ZMR and live with decent Hero Honda sales & service. It truly reminded me the day the ZMR first hit Mumbai and we went to see it. The sales guys had enough knowledge of it, and after buttering them they were really gracious enough to give us a test ride. I guess after parting from Hero, these guys have to learn this from HH. Else, kaboom. I really appreciate the way Bajaj has set up the service thing for the Ninja.

Once the time passed, I sat on the bike for a min or two. Felt alright, for a tall guy like me, the knees didn't touch the fairing and wasn't a slap bang crouching style. It was nice and relaxed. Should really be fun for long rides. And within seconds, all the sales persons were on the floor racing towards me...' sir sir, please uthiye, display bike hai..blah blah blah'.. This fumed me and I was aghast. I refused to get up and a few customers too joined in as they too were refused a trial. Finally when I had my fill among the chaos, i got off with a real sore impression( good thing to do if nobody is attending you or even if you are refused to sit on it!!) It was such a let down Honda, really didn't expect this.

Would I go with a cheque to book a CBR in such showrooms, no ways!
Would I take my cbr to such service stations, heck no!

Pull up your socks idiots. It was such a bad experience that despite carrying my DSLR, I forgot I was indeed carrying one. Some pix here though. If Honda really want to sell this thing here, then they should really stress improving the overall quality of the bike and even more importantly, their dealerships. Or else, you got a lot of upcoming flak my friends. Am pretty keen to hear that from folks who have booked it here.

Still its a Honda and will be good as its getting worldwide.
                              My overall rating: 3/5.

                              Photos:

                              Is this quality stuff??

I like layered fairings for the aerodynamics. But if they are of not good quality, there will only be multiple rattles, irritating in the long run.

                              the single horn!

ALuminum here, but could have been better.

Looks like you are new to the CBR family, Observe carefully you will see CBR250 in HRC colors, the CBR150 is in Orange and Silver with a tiny exhaust,
