Me too !! me too wanna play this sound game
At Idling I like V4 or a V2 more than I4.
When I hear a V4 or a V2 at idle it reeeaaallly does sound exotic. Not any V though. The SV650 doesnt sound as good as Ducatis V.
When ripping past there is no substitute to an I4 sound though ( TO MY EARS
)
When riding the machine myself (at high revs) I will not want a V2 ever. V4 could do but not really. I want to sit on a tripple at high revs. Thats the config that sounds best to me when riding myself.
I am increasingly falling in love with a tripple these days. Its funny how ones liking and choices go on changing with time and tide.sigpic
when i ride bullet before my bullet was solid condition but i once race with a Ceilo car and my engine size. mechancic say bullet is good bike but no racing. it is good for three people and very powerful.
one day when i become rich i but ducati and then I race with cars. not now.

IF you're at all going to be a respectable rider one day, leave your pride at the "door."

Me too...sensational bike and a pity it isn't available in India along with the other bikes from the Triumph stable.Originally posted by TenHut View PostDaytona 675
I agree that at high revs the drone of the triple is addictive and even better sounding than a Ducati twin.
Back on topic, there is no point talking about the "sound" of the CBR250R based on videos on the web. Impossible to judge sound purely for technical reasons. In any case I am sure there will be a host of aftermarket parts available soon from Akrapovic, Two Brothers etc.Kriss : 15.06.1981 - 11.10.2009
You will not be forgotten...RIP

Perhaps you gentleboys don't know that the choppy idle (the dub dub dub dub sound at low idle rpm) of all the bikes is dependent more on intake valve duration and overlap of the valves than anything else. One can try and make one's single cylinder also to have that choppy idle while playing with one's camshaft. V4/V2 would have more No. of firing, single would have less No. of firing per RPM range, that is it. Also, would be required changes to fuel metering or simply keep open throttle by 5% or so.The Original CBZ

The discussion about engine notes is valid in this thread. Because in some period of Honda's history,there was an inline four CBR250RR. And it would have been great if Honda resurrected that bike in a modern avatar! It would have been awesome!
But whatever our liking may be. We all agree that single cylinder engine note is not something to be lusted for!
Cheers!
