Did the dealer tell you the 50% downpayment thing?? i.e. around 90K. I guess its too much.. More bookings would be cancelled if so.. I wish its the normal 33% or so..Originally posted by HH_HUNK View PostHonda will give only 50% Loan rest we have to pay it as soon as the details are out
Or i will have to think of a personal loan..

I know he told me many bookings will get cancelled. The EMI that I am getting is around 4K!
I hope many cancel the booking so that I get my baby asap :P

Me on the same ship! (except wife part)Originally posted by kaynmantis View PostI may not be considered a young person now. Sometimes I think I was born a tad early considering the above statement. In retrospect . . .maybe not. I still remember the first time I saw a Zma...It was surreal. To own one then wasn't even a dream...meaning it was that unreachable. Fast forward and now I ride a Zma-R, and perhaps I can afford the new range of 250's and still put food on the table, though my wife's certainly going to raise an eyebrow as I said...I'm not exactly the energetic young person anymore. Though I seem to recall her saying I need to get the CBR250. Mmmm..Whether thats my imagination or she really did mention, I'll put that to the test when its launched

Nothing has been finalized yet.. so we cant be sure on anything..Originally posted by aargee View PostErr...what is this EMI & Loan stuff? Can someone explain it to me pls? TIA.
But Honda will have some finance options for the CBR too..
Well, According to the Official Australian CBR site, they were sending a Origami model of the CBR along with the booklets to all the enthusiasts of the CBR250R..(only in australia) which i feel was very cool.. I wish the Indian dealers showed the same amount of interest..
(Just for knowledge) Btw, i came across an interesting EMI calculator on
Harley-Davidson India - EMI Calculator
it was cool to calculate the HD's price and see if we can afford it

The Loan this is not a speculation!
Its 50% Loan and 50% Down payment!
Either for 24 Months or 36 Months with 12.8% ROI for 24 months and 12.5% ROI for 36 Months.
So finally if I take a loan of 90K then at max I will have to pay around Rs. 1,24,xxx to the bank. I had calculated all this stuff at the showroom itself!
The dealer said that he will try for a 33% DP but he says the chances are remote!

Well the price is not fixed yet! By March 25 everything will be fixed!
At the max it will be +/- 10K not more than that!I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

Regarding the loan thing, even I had enquired with my dealer when I was booking mine.
He said down payment would be somewhere around 90-100k. This is just the showroom guy's assumption, since prices are not finalized and they'll be able to work on finance option only after the final price is announced.Sudeep P Nambiar

Yes but he said the 50% DP thing is fixed so as per the price we will have to pay the 50% as down payment and rest will be loan. He assumed the price as 1.8L On Road for Std Version so 90K DP and rest is loan!Originally posted by sudeepnbr View PostRegarding the loan thing, even I had enquired with my dealer when I was booking mine.

To all the guys talking about loan - Isn't the loan, down payment, EMI, interest rate calculated by the financing company? Bank for instance? How does a dealer play a role in it? Isn't it the financing company that decides how much % of DP is required to be paid by the customer?Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle
