Dont hijack this really going strong thread. CBR folks, come on, I need some support.

My take on that video, the guys been handsomely paid by Kawasaki. No wonder hes praising the Ninja by saying the cbr doesnt look exciting. I mean what the ****!! If Honda had given a v-twin to the CBR then it would really have been a fair comparo. Ninja should rather be pitted against the Hyosung 250gt for a fair result. Anyway people abroad got good roads, they can do high speeds, which is why that extra cylinder seems better, and most of the times, they sell off their bikes by around 10-20,000 kms. Here, its the other way round. Thats why the Ninja is a logical winner for them, rightly so, cant blame them.

Anyway, the Ninja with the dated console, looks boring. Whos got time to spare second thoughts. Add to that its expensive spares. When you are comparing bikes you ought to see all these factors.

I will keep it straight. Get both the bikes together and bring in a novice. Immediately he will be astride the CBR. Bring in an expert rider, will seriously think of the Ninja, but will consider after sales and service. May even go for it, but theres something about Honda which will attract him and may as well buy it. If not, he will fall back on saving up for the bigger steeds. Wise! Some people have already decided about it. Fair and practical enough.

I guess Sid may be the first one to get his baby here. This is going to be fun. Bring it on sid. Awaiting your initial ride feedback mate. Congrats once again
            +1 Dude.

            Well Mumbai, still no idea
They said they were gonna get the bikes today but they havent arrived
I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

              • Sad news, Bangalore Saphire Honda: Bikes to reach on 25th April only!!! And that too in 5 numbers, one which will obviously be the display bike. I am fed up of going behind them. Decided to move on with life and ignore everything related to CBR till they call me to tell me that the bike has reached. I quit, I quit the excitement, but never the bike! Till Bruna comes along, I am not hoping for anything at all, even by miracle someone says, "Bike in Bangalore", I will not jump with excitement, till I see it in flesh.

                  Fellow ceeber Enthusiasts,
I spoke to Mandeep chandok the boss of Haiku Honda,
Apparently the real reason is not RTO approvals,
he says they can get the RTO approval in a Days time as paperwork is ready.
But the bigger issue is the Management shuffle due to Hero Honda Beakup and a senior Management changes, The new boss from Honda Japan is Yet to come from Tokyo to unveil the CBR250
As you are all aware that japan is hit by the recent earthquake/tsunami/Radiation, there are delays in the arrival of the new boss that is Pushing everything.
The bikes are been manufactured and Stocked at the moment in the Plant.

However he told expect the bikes to arrive in 10 days time which is same as the End of April as mentioned in the Website
Riding is not about "How fast you can go",
it is all about "How you can go fast"

In that case how can he explain the availabilty of display bikes in Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi

Plus as per the guys in Delhi, delivery is going to start next week in there city, I firmly believe that Mandeep chandok the boss of Haiku Honda is just telling false stories...

This video does a lot more than show the difference between braking on ABS and non-ABS equipped bikes. It shows how HUGE an element skill is in controlled braking. See the part when the 3 riders test the non-ABS bike. A relatively less skilled rider stops the bike in 92 meters while a skilled professional does the same stop in just 59 meters!! Goes a long way to prove that its a LOT MORE IMPORTANT to work on your braking skills rather than just depending on technology to do the job that your skills should be doing.

No...I am not denouncing ABS systems. Just that technology is not a substitute to honing one's own riding skills.

                            • Hyderabad honda dealers are no better than others. All they know is the booking are open and the bikes will be delivered by the end of april (for the ones booked in jan). I calledup 3 dealers and none could give a satisfactory answer. Booked mine in the second week of jan and the sales guy said i'll get the bike by the end of april. He also added that display bike and delivery bikes will be coming together :| .
