No need for a main stand, we will have to make do with the side stand like everyone else.
I would have preferred the heel shifter too. I find it more comfortable as compared to toe shifter.

We can only take it to places where proper parking is available since it does not have a center stand. I was planning to use it daily after selling my pulsar. Looks like I will have to keep my pulsar too.

    • I am keeping my Gladiator for this very reason as well. Parking it in my college's parking lot would be a nightmare. Girls have a habit of sitting on any good looking bike that they can find. The last time I parked a friend's R15 in my college, I saw a girl sitting on it and posing for the camera. By the time I reached to that spot, she had managed to topple it and break the indicator and a part of the fairing.
And of course,it's completely not their fault when they flash those puppy dog eyes.

Honda provides you heel+toe(What you want) shifter with additional costs around 150-250 for its current range of bikes (Unicorn, Stunner)
Yamaha provides it too for FZ series,
So may be Honda India would consider the same for CBR250R (Though I doubt any of the CBR owners would go for it even if the option is available) Anyways, it is indeed a matter of individual preference.

        lol.. I know that look
You guys would have to be far more careful with your baby CBR because definitely it has a wee bit more big sport bike feel then R15 & may interest the girls even more
PS: CBR is much heavier then R15 so I guess it would be quiet very well planted on even grounds & small movements around it wont budge CBR much

            lol.. so true.
but yes for someone who is used to commuter bikes like splendor since long & no experience with other only Toe shift bikes available & now all of a sudden upgrading to CBR250, it would be surely a difficult task (not impossible I know) to adjust to only TOE shifters that too on a heavy sporty bike like CBR.

It was indeed difficult for me to adjust to FZ & my first confirmed modification even before getting my FZ was Heel+toe shifter. My friend somehow convinced me to use my FZ toe shifter for long enough & i did eventually adjust to it.

whs the problem with that mate? the saree 'gate' and front number plate are pretty much eye sore, rather than serving their own purpose. however, is there anything like that with a heel shifter? you would hardly notice that, and moreover would be a comfortable proposition for a lot many used to it.

Its totally based on personal comfortability factor and shouldnt be mixed with saree gate and front no. plates.
              Ride safe..wear helmet.

It should have soft gear, not as hard as my Apache . I think it should not affect much to the shape of shoes.

Moreover for those who are not comfortable, start practicing with your bike, stop using heel shifter.

Personally I feel the heel shift is dangerous, once I rode my friend's RX100, the bottom of my pant got caught to the heel shifter while I was trying to get down from the bike..somehow managed to free it and got down safe. I personally don't like it.

You can always add additional cushion on the rubber part of the gear lever.

I add a thick roll of black sticky tape to avoid damage to my shoes. .

Moreover I believe the shifts are smooth in the CBR, so less shifting pressure is required. IMO

Ansh: You said you work at Honda right?! haha. Mate, the bikes a mini sportbike, is fuel injected, which is why it doesnt have a kickstarter.

                      • I somehow feel a toe shift is much faster and easier than a heel toe. Once you get used to it, you might even start doing the toe shifts on the heel and toe on the bikes that you might currently have..

+1, based on that step thru only I concluded that the bike is from Thailand
