AFAIK, GC is measured in all bike uniformly. chiku181 is right when he says that GC is the height of the lowest part of the bike from the ground.
What I have noticed is: In most cases, it will be the height of the suspension link from the ground. Many others think it is the lowest part of the front fairing which is not true.
Just bend down&have a look, you will know what I'm talking about.
R1 has 135mm.
Ninja 250R has 135mm.
Hayabusa has 130mm.
CBR has 145mm.
Most Indian bikes (including R15) have 160mm. as standard.
Bullet also has 145mm. so I don't think that should ever be a cause of worry.
In fact, 135 mm. is sufficient to clear all the speedbreakers if made according to Govt. standard of 120mm., but unfortunately that is not true in most places in India. Hence the trouble. A good trick is to take the speedbreaker cross when in doubt.

This may be very useful for people waiting for RED ABS/STD and Black ABS. As per the front desk Orange Honda HYD they are readily available. I was offered RED ABS as that was my second choice. I was tempted but I said no. I am still waiting for Silver ABS.Comment
