  • Surprise, surprise...2011 Honda CBR600F

    Just as we were getting all warmed with the knowledge that, the 250cc motorcycle market in India is getting really exciting now, and that the Hyosung GT650R will be on our roads sooner than we would've expected, with the Ninja 650 to follow soon...........Honda has come up with a totally unexpected revelation. And if first descriptions appearing all over the web are anything to go by.....this sure has immense prospects in India.

    Though Honda hasn't made any announcements for India yet, I guess that it's just a matter of time. Some are calling it a faired Hornet; some are saying it's one of the most practical, yet sporty CBR's Honda has made in a long time.....but all I can say is that, suddenly my excitement towards the Hyosung and Kawasaki 650's seems to have waned momentarily.

    Let the just-in details do the talking now.....

    Chrome Exhaust!!!! I thought that was the prerogative of cruisers! And that has been combined with the clips. Seating still "looks" aggressive. Hope it is less aggressive than the RR. Rear seat has no grab rails!

    Claimed: 100 Bhp at 12000
    Claimed: Seating more relaxed.
    Claimed: Adjustable rebound, damping and preload!

    Approved

    Thanks Simba.

    The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

                @Ken:

                Thanks for the approval. Yes, chrome here looks new! Yes, seating does look aggressive, but that comfortable looking pillion seat gets my thumbs up. But as you've rightly pointed out...a grab rail would have been a splendid addition.

                I would've loved more low-end torque too, but you can't have it all, can you?

                @Rockkyyy:

                You'll be wanting to have a go on this machine really soon, won't you? Especially after having done that amazing tour on the Fazer 600. And yes, Honda's reliability might be a factor favouring sales worldwide. Hoping for a quick announcement from Honda India.

                @Nats:

                Yup, it sure is, but what is exciting is the entire package...the ergonomics, the refinement, the power (and note Ken's point.....all of this is "Claimed" as of now )

                @RanjithMN:

                Yes, mouth-watering, as far as first impressions go. Yes, its an old line-up, and supposedly a successful one too. And it's probably something which enthusiasts were requesting Honda to bring back. If it's Asian-country-centric...........good for us.

                ^^Looking at Motorcycles at 3am? Better sleep before you are thrown out by the princess.
                @Sheel:

                Yes, my sleep patterns were jostled around too, partly due to this bike info, partly due to work.

                Wouldn't dare be up and awake at 3am drooling over bikes, with Princess by my side. I was on a 24 hour shift at hospital, and was enjoying a couple of hours rest in the Doctors Room. At times it gets hard to stay awake on a hectic night.....this news made it a lot easier yesterday

                Keep me updated should have any further info on this bike heading to India.

                @Xionite:

                Yes, 400's would be great too, considering that they're still pretty popular in Japan, and thereabouts. But as far as 600's are concerned, if this is making it's way here.....the 600 category sure is getting interesting!

                        A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels,scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)
