hyusong 650gtr or kawasaki 650 r or now the honda baby dam confusing
do you really think an inline engine will cost u just 6 lacs......based on simple maths buddy , just add 100 percent to any bikes cost sold over seas and you get a rough image of its cost in india......i knw we dont hav the figures but then again i agree spendin 5 for hyusong is dumb if honda is up for grabs for 6.....lets c ........how it turns out ;-)Originally posted by sheelpriye View Post

What if by some magic the CBR-600F retails under 6 or dare I say somewhere around 5?
Homologation/CKD take your pick. What if the duties lessen? (a far cry, but we can hope & if the Japs push, it can happen)
IMHO 6L is a fair enough price for the CBR-600F in India.
As far as competing with other stable mate comes, well the CB-1000R is a naked & packs many cubes & a bit more horses, an able bike but not a cannon ball rider as this.
I think in premium segment, this shall be a best seller. (We have International figs & not w/o reason were the F3/4 series so popular.
^^Might not make much sense, but then someone who is in love will always see from the other side

+1 to you, 6l for a 600rr is a good price to demand considering the tech and what not of the bike.. however, i wont buy it cos i will prefer to invest the money in a 400rr if it ever gets reborn..

You're damn correct about that expression of being in love
Can totally relate with your thoughts.
@ All...
Talking about the possible price of this bike, if at all Honda decides to sell it in India, we can go on speculating, and though we wont know for sure until it's officially announced, we can at least make some pretty accurate guesses, about the price bracket it will be placed in.
For starters, we know that it's not gonna cost anywhere close to 9 lacs on-road, 'cos this pricing area belongs to the Bandit, the CB1000R, and possibly the upcoming Fazer 1000.
Next we know that, due to the Honda label, the advanced technology, the high quality, and of course the inline engine, this won't be priced like the Hyosung 650, which will be around 5 lacs on-road.
So that leaves us with a range of say 6 lacs to around 7.5 lacs. A price of 8 lacs would bring it too close to the Bandits, etc. Anything below 6 lacs will be a steal.....and anything above 7.5 lacs would mean, it would take a lot of passion for someone to shell out that much money for a 600cc here in India. But taking everything into consideration, and going by possible-Honda-ambitions for India in 2011 and beyond, a pricing close to Rs. 6 lacs seems very probable.
About which segment this bike might belong to.....considering the way the bike market seems to be evolving here lately, segments won't really matter for manufacturers in a couple of years...the focus will be more on getting the bikes to our shores asap, and sticking the "For Sale" sticker on them!

yeah one of my favourites too !
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)
