Isn't the Govt. supposed to increase or decrease the fuel prices on the 1st and 15th of every month?
Here is a shocker :- Petrol price hiked by Rs 2.19 a litre, diesel by 98 paise - Times of India

They were waiting for the WB elections. Either they decrease before election, or increase after it. As the didnt Decreased before, I was sure it will increase. Hence did a full refill to both my bikes. Do remember it next time. Always refill on the election day. This trend is being followed since long.

I don't know what the situation is across other cities but there is a tanker strike Bangalore and fuel pumps have gone dry. Last night, shell petrol bunks were the only ones with fuel. Please take note.

Fuel pump have stocks but bluntly refuse to give.. And for some till last night price was 61.xx and now it is fricking 69.99
This is why i trust shell bunks rather hp or bp :/

Well in KA the price has gone up by 9-10 Rs a liter in around 18 days! This includes Rs2 as sales (state) TAX!

Only a few have petrol left in Bangalore. Most of them are dry.. Petrol price for which i filled for today was 67.55/- per litre. Fill half a tank atleast, it's looking bad.

The strike has been lifted last night. Expect normal services by evening.

I filled up shell v-power yesterday for 75/litre Shell bunks are crowded like markets now.

Yesterday i went to shell Petrol bunk at Old MAdrs Road.Only V-Power was available.I was on reserve but wanted to fil normal.Those guys had normal but was only selling V-Power.What really pissed meoff was the attitude of them.They were talking as if they are doing a great help to us.A-Holes doesn't understand that Shell is not their Dads Petrol bunk and we pay for what we get.I left from that place.I knew the strike was not gonna happen so anyways i didnt fill it.
BTW why was there a strike and is the petrol price now 4.53 Rs/Ltr ?

Tank Drivers and cleaners went on strike, because of their demands not being met by Oil companies.
Did u mean increased by 4.53 or did u miss 6x.xx ?

yes ultimately i think it was called off and Bunkers were busy shelling out speed,v power etc.58.55 was he perfect price i guess ;-)wish it was like this

Petrol price cut by 74 paise per litre, diesel by Rs 1.30.

Petrol price was today decreased by 74 paise per litre and diesel price was slashed by Rs 1.30 a litre. Revised prices will take effect from midnight.

Petrol in Delhi will cost Rs 61.13 per litre from midnight tonight as against Rs 61.87 currently, said Indian Oil Corp (IOC), the nation's largest fuel retailer.

Similarly, a litre of diesel will cost Rs 48.01 compared to Rs 49.31 at present.

Another increase in the Petrol and Diesel prices.

Most Recent price change date: Sunday, May 1, 2016
Delhi Petrol Price = 62.19 Rs/Ltr
Bengaluru Petrol Price = 66.87 Rs/Ltr

Every time the prices increases, it feels like the increase is even more in Bangalore. The 1% tax paying population will feel the heat.
