Re: Petrol prices update thread
Considering the price difference and a mere increase in 2-3 or even 4 kmpl, it all comes down to be sameOriginally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostI started filling with shell super petrol since 4 months and I've noticed a big increase in FE, I guess all should try it, its worth paying that little extra money.

It isn't about the mileage aloneOriginally posted by abhi7013 View PostConsidering the price difference and a mere increase in 2-3 or even 4 kmpl, it all comes down to be same

you do realize the consumers get adulterated fuel which can reduce the life span of our precious motors, right??
so those 2-4 extra rs you spend on Shell fuel helps not only in fuel but also less adulterated

Re: Petrol prices update thread
Shell sells the same petrol as HP, OICL, BP because they have no refinery of their own! The extra money you spend is for the additives they add (useless IMPO) and them being private players.Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostIt isn't about the mileage alone

BTW, filled petrol for the 1st time in roughly 4 years for 67 bucks a liter at HP. 500 gave roughly 7.43 liters.

I know but the fuel sold by HP, OICL and BP are adulterated.. but I have seen with my own eyes.. compared the purity of the fuel being sold to consumers and the purity of the fuel given for inspection.. Maybe Shell does the same thing.. only God (if any) knows
P.S. Petrol rates in New Delhi is ~61.xx
yet to fill the tank

Re: Petrol prices update thread
+100 to that! This I'll agree to. But, I fill 90-95% of the time from only those bunks where trucks come for a refill. Adulteration is much less in both petrol and diesel.Originally posted by rreneav1987 View Postcompared the purity of the fuel being sold to consumers and the purity of the fuel given for inspection..Got a $5 head? I used to believe in tihs concept, but learnt it the hard way that it applies only for diesel.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View Post+100 to that! This I'll agree to. courtesy : the two bunks on tin factory ORR.
Now I fill only at shell or at company operated bunks, unless I don't have a choice.
