I experienced the same the day i rode gt for the first time, being my first time on such a big bike i was a little hesitant in opening up the throttle in first gear and stalled 2 times, then was told to revv a lil more and when i kept the revvs around 2000 rpm it was all good.

Could be the fuel mapping characteristics or maybe the engine requires a lil more push in 1st gear

            • That's it guys. The Naked is coming... That too at unbelievable prices. Pun intended!

Hyosung GT650N to be launched in India by November | Rush Lane

Why did I say unbelievable prices? Because they're still too high to be believed... 4.90L for the base color!? Yeah...

@ Melroyal: Good additions man specially the frame silders. I believe the company should give it with every bike... its that important!
It ensures that a parking lot slip at zero speed won't cost you thousands later...
And tankpad matches the bike's color contrast.

Yeah bro..even a slight drop of the bike at standstill or while turning may damage the fairing, handlebar and mirror..the frame sliders are definitely a MUST.
I'm GLAD you liked the tank pad

I just got my GT650R which is an amazing bike for the beginners to start fall in love with an SBK.

                  Right now the problem is:

                  1) The engine gets heated up very badly even for a small ride of 200 mt which i can feel it.
                  2) Initially i put the normal petrol instead of Hi-octane, so the bike stops at low rev but no issues while moving... mechanic said it is due to petrol.

Please suggest me since there is no showroom opened in Bangalore.
I am not sure if you know that a new Showroom has been opened near Ulsoor Lake Bangalore. The showroom was opened a month ago, close to Lake View Hospital, Ulsoor.

                    • I doubt the naked 650 would be priced that high. They will obviously want to drop prices to give their bikes a VFM tag when compared to the exellent and competitvely priced N650.

The pune showroom guys told me that the difference will be ~40K only...

If the difference in naked and faired version is only 40000 rupees, then why would anyone want to go for the naked one? A person spending over 4 lakhs on a bike should be able to shell out those extra 40000 in order to give that "cool" look to the bike unless he's a diehard naked bike fan.

I think Hyosung should keep the price difference higher than 40k.

                          • The news is very much correct. The naked version is due for launch next week(unless there is some last minute changes) and will be priced at 40-50k lesser than the faired version.

Hyosung doesn't have a 400cc in its product portfolio... The three bikes could be the Naked 650 and the 250 faired and naked...
