Thanks for the info... I will decide about that.. Even in Chennai it cost the same as Gurgoan, and the transportation charges wil also go high when compared
People look for mileage... But I choose Mile Age

      • Read somewhere that the Hyosung GT250R shares the same chasis as well as bodywork from the bigger sibling GT650R. Is it true?

Googled some pics and the bike looks outright similar to the 650, well if am buying the bike i would expect some exclusivity when shelling out 5 grands for the 650R.

The 250R would be on sale next year and would be at a competitive price wrt Ninja 250, wont the 650 owners be a lil unhappy about it?

Even the Ninja 250 and 650 are way different , their purpose as well as styling.

exactly same what i was thinking.when gt250 comes to india,it will affect gt650's owners exclusivity.even gt250 has dual discs in front.

I have some GT plans for myself but this 250 doubt is in my heart, hope the saga doesnt go Pulsar way where its impossible to differentiate a 220 S from a 150 :P

If the body and chasis are same, then the exclusivity factor would surely take a hit and the 650 owners wont like it whereas 250 buyers would be happy about the looks at less than half the price.

                  there's a big difference the GT250 and the GT250R.

Garware might decide to bring the (unfaired) GT250 here in order to keep the exclusivity of the GT650R intact.

i hope they get the GT250R here though.

                  what say rossi_god? any comments?

Well thats the GT250... Better known as the Comet in India... What they are gonna launch is the GT250R... That is this

                        • Even if the GT250R gets launched early next year, Garware would have a tough time keeping their 650 owners happy. They surely wont like a 250 at a cheap price with same body which would become common whereas we bikers would prefer otherwise

Time to ponder over a few things.

Actually the old name of the 250cc of the Hyosung was Comet.

Later on the 250cc Vtwin platform got tweaks to get the new GT name.....the fairing shod bike is the GT250R and the naked one is GT250.

The Comet name is used no more officially.

I wish the GT250R to be brought to India, and I think not that it would share the exact same chassis or bodywork as that of the GT650R.

The GT650R chassis and mountings are heavier.

The GT250R design and dynamic set-up maybe similar to the 650R,but the difference between them becomes pronounced once some one rides them back to back.

The GT650R can be easily distinguished from the GT250R by the exhausts mounted on them respectively. Moreover the 250cc bikers would love to be confused having 650cc bikes at times
Even though the 650 is bulkier and significant body-works are broader than the 250 bike.

Can understand you fear, but do you want the bike for look only, power doesn't matter? I mean definitely a 250 engine is not going to give you what a 650 will, whether its sound, weight, power, speed or stability. No matter a 250 will be standing next to you, it can't make anything in feeling better than a 650.

And bdw if somebody want to wait, than wait is endless...after that so called 250, may be some 150 will be coming next year with better looks
I really do not worry about what 99% "janta" will think about my bike, because most of the people are not aware of what these bikes are so they will always take your "white GT 650R" and "white karizma ZMR" as same.
