The Hyosung GT650 has a V-twin engine and will not sound like a liter class bike as you expect, cos most liter bikes on the road are equipped with inline four engines. But the sound is bassy and typical v-twinish. Does sound like a big bike if you ask.

      • well till now not seen GT in flesh in india , waiting for B'lore showroom to open.

last year i have seen one red in Vienna , i liked the bike very much .. and fit and finish was also very good , as there were other bikes like Gixer 750 and BMW parked alongside .. from that time i am in like of it..

now i want to see the bike here and i want to compare the fit and finish of the bike here with that.

        @Aditya

have u finalized ur next big bike .. i guess ur looking for N650R

Hi vikyk. If metallic color means a lot of shine then the red color is metallic. The V-Twin motor sounds very different from a inline 4 engine.

metallic... as in the paint's got a "tinsel" effect to it.

as far as i recall... the single tone red GT650R is non-metallic. but very glossy.

No dude. I bought the 250R mainly for track use and for some touring use too, and i'm yet to explore the track with her. Looks like she's gonna be around for sometime. Frankly, i havent even seen the 650 in the flesh and will hopefully do so over the weekend. No plans to upgrade as of now.

Thanks Melroy. Congrats again on your new bike. She looks hot in red and i'm sure you're super excited. Do post a review when you get time off from riding it.

well the ducati 1198 and aprillia rsv4 are big liter class superbikes but they are twin's and sound very similar to gt650r but if u want vroom vroom sound then even a 600cc inline 4 will do the trick no need for liter class bike

Well i don't expect it to sound like a liter class bike but yes, if it sound like a big bike that's enough for me in this price

Don't know why that difference. One more person confirmed me same about booking amount that it is 1 lac. Probably they are deliveri8ng in 20 days despite of 30 days, that's why asking for more :P

Not shine actually but that cool sparkling effect all over than pure paint like look, as we can see in cars.

I checked the sound on some video, and it was good. For me , it should be loud and clear, lesser than liter class bike would be ok

Nice sound. But inline 4 (in 600+ CC) is not available here and i can't wait for another year to get a bike....

well buddy its up to you but the exhaust note is what make a bike a superbike for me and if u can wait nothing like it for the i4s and they are coming no matter what ive been waitin for since 2009 so if possible hang on and u will love it.

Same for me, exhaust note matters a lot , but what to do, really don't have that much patience and time left to wait for i4s now.

BDW you are going to buy Hyosung GT 650R too??

Well you are good to go for liter class bikes than there is no issue in waiting more. And IKM is most probably going to launch ZX- 10R which may cost near 10 L so out of my budget.

But i think red is most popular one and most attractive out of all, is that so? I mean you have seen the bike's different colors in flesh so you know more. Even in most of the videos, i have seen only red GT 650R.

                              High bass...that's good news

                              • OK maybe I am posting this very prematurely... But after weeks of deliberation, reading millions of reviews, asking umpteenth questions and banging my head against the wall trying to decide between the ninja and the GT, I have come to the conclusion that it is gonna be the All black Hyosung GT650R for me... When...? Within six months is my target... Hopefully... Lets see how things work out now...

Disclaimer: If the middleweight I4's come along in the mean time then I might restart the whole deliberation process again...
