    No one seems to have any additional information on Triumph except the names of the models they are getting in. I guess we'll all to have to wait for a week for more details.

    The UK price for Daytona 675 is 8499 pounds.
    That in INR is 7,00,235.79/-

    I know it is a CKD my friend. The reason I am optimistic is that according Business Standard Motoring they are seriously thinking about setting up a assembly plant in India. And like the Hog the prices may well be a pleasant surprise.

    I don't think Auto Expo will reveal much, though Triumph has a stall there, and will display their bikes. From what we know, here are my assumptions:

    1) The 7 motorcycles which Triumph will bring in are the Bonneville, Daytona 675, Street and Speed Triple, Tiger 800 XC, the Rocket and the Thunderbird Storm

    2) From the press release, they will get all bikes in through the CKD route which means first finding a way/place to assemble the motorcycles.

    3) The above being the fact, pricing will not be announced till mid/2nd half of 2012, till they figure out how much it costs to import parts and assemble the motorcycles.

    4) The entire CKD process will take time, so expect first deliveries only end of year 2012 or early 2013. A few models might be delivered in 2012 and the rest should come in 2013 or so.

    EDIT: Let's wait till the Auto Expo. They are supposed to disclose their India plans there. They were also considering bringing models through the CKD route.

    Not exactly... <800cc bikes have to be homologated by ARAI, that's all.
    Once that is taken care off, they can be imported.
